Chapter Twelve
"Hello?" Eva asked answering her phone. The area code was Albany, but the number wasn't in her phone. "Eva? Oh thank god. I need your help. I'm hiding on a farm in Albany, but I'll be found soon. Can you meet me?" The person asked. "Yea...of course. I'll leave now."
Eva was driving through the countryside looking for a farm that matched the description she was given. She finally found it and pulled into the driveway. She knocked on the door and it opened almost immediately, "She's upstairs waiting for you."
Hannah sat on a bridge in the park. She stared down at the water and thought about coming to this park with Charlotte when she was little. They would watch the fish and swing. Charlotte always brought food so that they could have a picnic by the water and sometimes they even stayed late enough to watch the sun set. It was so fun and Hannah even thought about getting married here someday.
Those weren't the feelings she was thinking now. Now, she was thinking about losing Charlotte, Luke's betrayal, Eve's death, and Sasha's disappeared. It was a lot and it wasn't fair that Hannah was alone in all of. The girls were dealing with tragedy, but Hannah had always been the weakest mentally. "Can I sit here?" Hannah stood up and whipped around.
"What the hell are you doing here? I told you to get out of my life?" She hissed. "I'm sorry...I heard about Charlotte and I thought that maybe..." Hannah cut him off, "What? You thought what? That I would seek comfort from the bastard son that was only ever born because of a meaningless one-night-stand?" She screamed pushing him.
Luke lost control of his anger and grabbed Hannah's hair. She tried to push him off and they struggled. They got too close to the bridge and before they knew it...Scream, Splash.
Lisa sat at the kitchen table eating cereal. Her phone rang disturbing the silence. She answered it, "Hey, Hannah," she said into the phone. Hannah said something on the other line and Lisa stood up grabbing her keys, "I'll be right there."
Hannah was waiting for Lisa when she came running to the bridge. Hannah pointed to the bridge and Lisa looked over the edge and gasped. "Hannah? How did he end up down there? Did you push him?" She asked. Hannah shook her head, "No...he showed up and I screamed at him and shoved him and he got so mad and grabbed my hair and we struggled and then he let go and I heard the splash." She started sobbing again and Lisa comforted her. They heard sirens getting closer and Lisa pulled Hannah to the ground. They needed to get out of there.
Lisa put Hannah in the car and shut the door. She opened the driver door, but was stopped by a hand. "Going somewhere?" Lisa turned around smiling bitterly, "Ah, Agent Lappin. I see you're out of the hospital,"Lisa commented. "Yes. Now. Lisa, you are under arrest for grand larceny, kidnapping of Mamoru Lone, and the murder of Agent Polizzi's sister and fiance. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you. You have the right to an attorney-"
He was cut off by Lisa, "It's cute and all that you think you can arrest me at all much by yourself, but I think you're forgetting something. It's two against one." Hannah came up behind and hit Lappin in the back of the head with a pipe. "Let's go," she said getting back into the car.
Eva sat on the bed listening to what happened. "So who else was there? How did they get out?" She asked confused. Sasha took a breath and began the story. Beginning with right before the place exploded.
The Agents were pointing their guns and Sasha and Eve didn't know what to do. Sasha looked at Charlotte, "How could you?" She asked disgusted. Charlotte tried to say she was sorry, but before she could someone came up behind and snapped her neck. She dropped to the floor and the agents turned their guns on the murderer. "Put your hands up!". Sasha didn't recognize the woman. She looked like she was in her mid thirties with dark brown hair and green eyes. Cory made a move and the woman grabbed a crowbar from the shelf and hit him in the back of the head. The woman ran towards the girls and even set the wires on fire.
