Chapter Fourteen

"And you're sure you didn't hear anything except her scream?" the officer asked.

The lady paused to think, "No, after her scream I heard an engine and when I looked out my window there was a car taking off." The officer wrote something down and asked for a description of the car.

"White, dinged up, oh and the windows were tinted," she told the officer. He nodded and thanked her for her time.

"The neighbor heard the scream and saw a white dinged up car with tinted windows take off. Nothing else," the officer to the Chief.

"Any signs that the girls were still living there?" he asked. The officer shook his head no and the chief sighed. There goes the shot of any witnesses or leads on the girls.

When the cops arrived at the scene, the front door was wide open and there was a small pool of blood. Someone was hurt. They went further into the house and everything seemed normal. The place wasn't trashed and there didn't seem to be anything missing from the last time they were in there. If this wasn't a robbery gone wrong, then this was a planned kidnapping and she put up a fight until she was injured.

They assumed she was stabbed due to the fact that no witnesses heard a gunshot. So they knew the crime, the victim, and the escape car, but what was the motive and who was the kidnapper?

"I'm so freaking bored," Lisa complained throwing cards in the air. She sat up and looked at the others, "When are we gonna figure this out? We can't just live here for the rest of our lives in hiding, so what's our plan?" she asked.

"You're right. We can't stay in hiding forever, but how are we going to do anything with no weapons, no computers, nothing except for some clothes and paintings?" Sasha asked pausing mid fold to look at Lisa raising her eyebrow.

"Well I don't know. I'm just saying we need to get all of that," she said trying to defend her original point.

Eva sighed, "Lisa, we have no way of getting any of that. Shay hasn't been answering our calls so the FBI is probably watching her closely. We don't have any contacts outside of here."

Sasha put the clothes aside and moved over to the others, "Actually, we do have one person."

"See what you made me do?" Mamoru asked pointing to the unconscious body, "You couldn't just tell me where they are. This is your fault. You think I wanted to do this? She's a nice person, but you're so selfish you would let this happen to her."

The man glared at Mamoru, "I'll kill you for this," he threatened.

A small smirk grew slowly onto Mamoru's face as he creeped over to him, "Not very threatening coming from someone who's tied up with no gun." The man struggled and that just made Mamoru's smirk grow bigger.

Mamoru stalked over to her unconscious body and lifted her up. He laid her on the bed and handcuffed both of her hands to the headboard. "Leave her alone you prick," the man growled.

Pulling a knife, Mamoru whipped around, "Shut the hell up or I'll cut her."

In the midst of their stare off, the lady woke up. She looked around her and saw the two of them. She tried to move her arms only then noticing they were handcuffed to the bed. "What's going on? Where am I? Why is he tied up?" she asked hoarsely. Her head hurt and her throat was dry. She needed some water.

"You're husband here won't tell me where your daughter is...maybe you will?" Mamoru asked keeping his knife pointed at the man.

She scowled and narrowed her eyes, "I'm not telling you where they are. You broke poor Sasha's heart," she snarled.
