HEX (The Flash FanFic)

CH: 14 ~~ZOE~~

I pressed my back against my apartment door after Barry left touching my fingers to my lips remembering the kiss I gave Barry the second time we met and tried to stop my smile as it perched onto my face. He believed I was drunk tonight, I couldn't get wasted off my own recipe so I decided to fake it just so he would stay for a small bit, maybe I did like him? I shook off that thought I couldn't focus on feelings right now, not when my grandfather is fighting for his life and Parasite is out there reeking havoc. Maybe when this is all over I will figure out what I was feeling for Flash but for now I needed to push those thoughts into the back of my mind. I moved to take a quick shower feeling the dry blood fall from my skin and I could feel the aching feeling finally vanish. I quickly cleaned my hair and then turned off the shower wrapping the towel around my bare body as I exited the shower. I looked up at my reflection in the mirror, I could see what looked like a ghost looking back at me. I took my brush from the counter running it through my damp hair trying not to think about anything. I put it back to the side moving into my room changing into a pair of black sweats and a black tank top. I pulled my wet hair up into a ponytail so it could dry faster, I was about to sit on my bed like I had done most nights while I was here in Central City when I heard something in my living room. Slowly I moved from my bedroom into the dark living room, my eyes scanned the whole room seeing no one around. My head moved from side to side when I heard a swift sound of wind brisk behind me, my head whipped backwards but I didn't see anyone. Then another swift sound in front of me when I turned my hair moved along with the wind and in some weird way I wondered if it was Barry messing with me. I doubt the alcohol would've burned off that quickly so either he was drunk running and being an idiot or something else was wrong. 

"Allen?" I started when another gust of wind pushed past me and a hand grabbed my throat slamming me to the nearby wall. My body slid up the wall with my feet dangled off the ground, I grabbed a gloved arm against my throat and felt vibrations in my neck. The face came in full view, it was the monster I came into contact with yesterday and I couldn't speak with the pressure on my throat. 

"Hello witch or should I say Zoe...nice to see you survived the fall." his voice vibrated he knew who I was, did he know that Barry was the Flash he couldn't have otherwise he would've went after him instead. His hands loosen a small bit on my throat so I could speak but I knew I had to be ready to fight in case he tried anything. My eyes turned for a second to the kitchen area and using my telekinesis I levitated my knives focusing them behind this figure.

"Wh...o....a...re y....ou? W...hat do y...ou wa..n.t?" I gasped trying to keep my focus on the knives hovering behind him when I watched his face twitch a small bit.

"My name is Zoom and you know what I want little witch, I want the Flash." he answered my brain went to Barry then it snapped back to this monster who called himself Zoom.    

"The...n w..hy are...you he...re wi...t..h me?" I coughed watching him bring me close to his face, I could feel his hot breath on my skin.

"Because little witch, you are going to bring him to me." he replied I chuckled when I sent the first blade forward letting it push into his shoulder and he released my throat from his grip. I rolled away watching him pull the blade from his arm and turned to face me seeing more blades hovering in front of me like a shield.

"I will never help you." I hissed forcing another blade forward but I watched him dodge it with his speed, then I repeated the process and so did he. We played this game multiple times until I was out of knives and had to try to use my magic on him to fight. His speed made me miss any incoming magical strikes until I was slammed into the wall by a lightning bolt. I slid down grabbing my chest feeling the burning sensation in my chest and he knelt down in front of me.

"You will have no other choice because I have some information that may change your mind." he answered I tried to stand watching him lift the blade from the floor and then threw it pushing into my arm pinning me to the wall. I gasped in pain wrapping my hand around the blade but I couldn't remove it with Zoom now next to me pushing it deeper into the wall. 

"What are you talking about?" I winced seeing the black eyes looking into my eyes almost like he was looking deep into my soul.

"I know where your grandfather is..." he started my entire body went numb and my eyes went wide by his words. Was he working with Parasite? I couldn't tell whether he was lying or not but with this blade in my arm I couldn't much resist. "How many more days are left Zoe? Two? One? Tick tock little witch..."

"What do you want from me?" I gasped feeling almost defeated, as much as I didn't want to do this I needed the location of my grandfather now. 

"All you have to do is when the time comes you will help me, you are going to do what I tell you to do and you are going to help me destroy the Flash. Until then goodnight." he answered taking my head with his hands and slammed it hard against the wall behind me, my vision went blurry watching the figure vanish into the darkness and my eyes closed.
