HEX (The Flash FanFic)

CH: 18 ~~ZOE~~

The moment I heard Barry lightly snore next to me I opened my eyes and pulled away from his grip slowly hoping not to wake him. I turned to face Barry who was still asleep next to me, I closed my eyes then opened them again knowing that this was the only way to save him. I knew if I waited any longer that he would try to stop me from going after Parasite alone. I leaned forward pressing my lips against his forehead then moved away from him and felt my magic make my costume appear onto my body. I was going after Parasite now, I wasn't going to let Barry get in the way and I hope to finish this before he awakes. I looked at Barry one last time lowering my head then silently disappeared from my room heading to the location; I heard a gust of wind behind me knowing that was no way it was Barry and I turned to see it was Zoom.

"Enjoy your evening with the forensic scientist little witch?" he asked almost like he was watching me, that sounded so wrong but I was in the mood to chit chat.

"You have the spell or not?" I hissed watching him move forward, I crossed my arms hoping he would take my bait thinking I was willing to work with him. With Oliver's training I knew how to lie easily without being detected in it, I was very convincing and watched Zoom stand a few feet from me. He handed me a piece of paper, I glanced down at it reading it seeing the spell and then looked up at Zoom. 

"We will speak again very soon little witch...good luck you'll need it." he chuckled disappearing with his speed from where I was standing, I stuffed the piece of paper into my pocket and turned to face the building. I moved forward to the building seeing the Full Moon with the comet making its way to the spot where it was meant to be tonight. I entered the building shortly after, silently moving through the hallway looking for Parasite or my grandfather. The smell of horrible burning scents pushed into my nose, I shoved off the smell continuing my pace in the dark halls. I could hear muffled conversation going on in a room ahead of me, I closed my hands into a fist and started to head in that direction. I gripped the doorknob in my hands, I twisted it slightly and pushed it open with my shoulder seeing a man chained to a chair. His back was to me but I recognized him almost instantly, I didn't see Parasite anywhere in the room. I rushed towards the man kneeling down seeing he was bloody, in pain but it was Giovanni Zatara my grandfather. 

"Papi? It's Zoe..." I whispered shaking him seeing his eyes open and they went wide when he saw that it was me. He looked like he was panicking almost like he was signalling me not to be here, that I was in danger here when I heard the door slam in front of me. My head shot up seeing Parasite smirking leaning his shoulder against the metal door and his arms were crossed.

"Well...well...well lookie here, you came alone and fell right into my trap. What? The Flash too busy to help you?" he smirked I felt my eyes burn purplish blue then charged at him when he slammed his leg into my ribs. I went flying into the wall hard, I slid down gasping coughing from the pain in my chest watching Parasite move forward. His hand grabbed me by my throat lifting me up against the wall, I was starting to get tired with people grabbing me by my neck and I swung my one arm at him hitting him straight in the jaw. That didn't get him to release my throat, his grip tightened in my neck and his face turned to me. I felt a hot sensation on my neck then could feel my entire body was getting weak in his grasp knowing he was absorbing my energy from my body. He didn't have the power to take mine, he needed to take my grandfather's first before he could take mine and he knew this. "Your magic is very weak against me witch, once I have the power that is rightfully mine I will make you take yours. Once I have your magic, I will leave your dead body for the Flash to find maybe on his doorstep oh I'm going to love watching you squirm as you beg me to kill you. Until then I think I'll just torture you until the time comes for me to do the spell." Parasite took me away from the wall and then slammed me hard against the column on the opposite side of the room. My body crashed into it, I could hear my grandfather scream under his gag as Parasite moved towards me. I got to my feet knowing my magic wasn't going to help me, I decided to use my body as a weapon instead. I threw multiple strikes managing to get a few good ones in but he was able to get a couple in too. He knew how to weaken my body, almost like he could read my mind when he slammed his foot again into my chest. My body collapsed, I knew Parasite was going to break me until I was too weak to stop him when the time comes. Parasite was preparing for his next strike, it gave me only a minute to figure out what to do and as much as I didn't want his help I know there was no other option.

"Barry...Barry if you can hear me...Help me Barry....Please Help me!" I telepathically yelled hoping the message would get to Barry who was asleep in my bed, I looked up seeing Parasite tower over me holding a chain in his grip. "Barry..." I couldn't finish because Parasite struck the chain down onto my head sending me to the floor unconscious.
