HEX (The Flash FanFic)

CH: 16 ~~ZOE~~

Barry and I were in S.T.A.R. Labs later after Cisco and Caitlin went home for the night, we were trying to figure out the next and I knew he wanted to help me except I couldn't risk him right now especially since he is going to have his own problem soon. 

"Look Bar, I know you want to help me with Parasite but I really think you should stay out of this until it's over." I replied standing up from the chair I was sitting in when I began to feel light headed and my skin pricked up. I gripped the desk in front of me, my breaths heavy when I glanced up checking Barry's eyes then my vision blurred completely. I felt my body fall and with a swift gust of wind made it in front of me then a pair of arms holding me. I knew it had to be Barry, I blinked a few times seeing his worried look on his face and he held me close to him. "Whoa...head rush."

"Are you okay?" he asked my head was brushing against his chest close enough to hear his racing heartbeat which was normal for him being a speedster. Barry lifted my body a bit leaning his leg forward to prop my back up against it. 

"Yeah, what time is it?" I questioned Barry lifted his one arm looking at his watch on his wrist and then looked back at me as I stayed on the ground.

"It's 12:02 at night? Why?" he wondered I sighed touching my head with my hands then looked back up at Barry who was waiting for an answer.

"It's my birthday...the protection spell just wore off me." I answered seeing Barry's face twitch and I sighed knowing that now Barry wasn't going to let me do this on my own.

"Can you move?" he asked I nodded taking both of his hands into mine and he pulled me up to my feet still holding me in his grasp until I regained my footing. His arm was around my waist, his fingers gripping me tight to him and I couldn't speak. "Come on...I doubt you have eaten all day, there is a pizza joint over a few hundred miles away. Why don't I pick some up for us and we can discuss what you plan to do tomorrow?" I sighed bracing my hands against the table and Barry's hands were still around my waist to support my weight.

"Alright Allen if you get me pepperoni then I will oblige to your idea, would you mind dropping me at my apartment, I don't think it will be smart to use my magic after what I just felt? Then when you get back we'll eat and figure out a plan." I sighed he nodded I felt my body been scooped into his arms and our eyes locked for a moment, his hands holding me tight to him and we were inches from one another.

"You may want to close your eyes and mouth, you won't be use to the wind in your face and you may not want to eat any bugs." he chuckled I buried my face into his chest as he took off into a run, I could feel the wind rip against my skin and hair. Barry's grip tightened against me holding me tighter against him, his heartbeat was quicker and then I felt us skid to a halt. I saw we were outside of my apartment door and when I lifted my head seeing Barry smiling at me with his hair ruffled a bit. He lowered me to my feet allowing me to braced my hand against the door and once I was stable Barry let me go. "Back in a Flash..." he winked speeding away I shook my head, that was a corny sentence and I turned to unlock the door. I opened the door moving through my apartment, my legs finally regained movement and I shut the door behind me. I turned seeing Zoom in front of me slamming me into the door silencing me by squeezing my throat.

"You know where Parasite is now little witch now you have to keep your end of the bargain." he replied I gripped his hand with both of mine trying to pull him free from my neck.

"I found Parasite myself, I will never help you bastard." I spat when he seemed to chuckle a small bit shaking his head at my comment almost like he knew I would refuse him.

"Smart girl but you're not strong enough to defeat Parasite and you know it. But I can tell you how to stop him, I can give you the spell to destroy him once and for all. All you have to do is be ready to help me when I ask you to, you will destroy The Flash whether you do it willingly or accidentally you will destroy him. You are toxic little witch, you have so much darkness inside you that will destroy everyone you care about and when you face Parasite tomorrow you will die. Though if you help me I will make sure that you survive, I'll give you the rest of the night to think about it or I will make the decision for you. Enjoy your last night little witch." Zoom exclaimed tightening his hand on my throat before tossing me to the floor and disappeared from the room. I knew Barry would be back any minute so I got up dusting myself off and moving into the kitchen needing a drink after that incident. I could feel my eyes watering a small bit but I needed to suck them back in when I heard a knock on my door. I heard the door open a small bit while I took a sip of the drink that I poured for myself and at the corner of my eye I saw it was Barry peering behind the door.

"It's Barry..." he replied moving in my apartment holding three pizza boxes in his grip, I remember he had the hyper metabolism so of course he would eat so much pizza and I gripped the glass against my hand.

"I'll be right there Bar, I'm just grabbing plates." I answered choking back on everything in me taking the plates from the cabinet with two glasses and the alcohol I gave him the other day under my arm. I swallowed sharply before heading to the smiling boy look back at me getting the pizza ready on my couch. I wanted to tell him everything but I couldn't, I couldn't have him go after Zoom not right now while Parasite is about to strike. Though if Zoom was right about the darkness inside me then I will have to save Barry from not only Parasite and Zoom but from myself.
