HEX (The Flash FanFic)

CH: 23 ~~BARRY~~

I got us back to Zoe's apartment seeing she was unconscious in my grip, she must be exhausted from everything that happened to her. Lucky for her Oliver wasn't here, I didn't need another lecture from him and I knew Zoe didn't want one either. I laid her body onto the bed pulling my mask off and then moved away to text Oliver to let him know that everything was going to be okay now. 

Texts between Oliver (O) and Barry (B)

B- Look I know you're pissed off from what I said to you earlier but I wanted to let you to know that Zoe is safe, Parasite is no longer a threat.

O- It's okay Bar. What you said was absolutely right and Felicity really gave me a real earful of my ways so I hope to change that. Thank you for saving Zoe, I know she cares about you I guess I felt overprotective still. 

B- Zoe is a strong girl, she can take care of herself if you let her. 

O- I know...she's not a little girl anymore. Anyway it's late get some sleep Bar

End of Texts 

I moved back into the room rubbing my face feeling almost exhausted when I saw that Zoe was gone again with a note on her pillow. I took it into my hands seeing her handwriting etched onto the paper and my eyes ran through the words fast. 

'Barry, 

I'm leaving Central City; all this power inside me is not easy for me to control and if I am around you I know that I will hurt you with them. There is a darkness inside me Barry and I can feel it trying to take control of me, I can't have you worrying about me when you have an entire City to save. I'm sorry for everything I put you through, maybe I'll see you again someday. 

                                                                                                                                                                                    Zoe'

I knew that Zoe was heading to the train station, her powers were weak right now so teleporting would not be an option for her. I sped out of her apartment to S.T.A.R. Labs changing free from my Flash uniform back into my regular clothes then headed to the station. I moved through the huge morning rush crowd scanning each face for Zoe's, I forgot how packed the station would be at this time of day. I turned to my left one last time and that is when Zoe's face came into my view, she had a dark hoodie on with the hood up hoping to hide herself. She looked like she was about to burst into tears, I swallowed sharply speeding with my super speed in her direction grabbing her and disappearing from the station. I brought her to the roof of S.T.A.R. Labs before releasing her and she didn't seem too happy to see me stopping her.

"Bar? What are you doing?" she replied as I knew I was about to get an earful from her but I knew I had to tell her my opinion.

"You think you can just walk away from everything? You can't..." I started she crossed both of her arms tight against her chest not wanting to really listen to me.

"There is nothing left here for me, why should I stay Bar?" she asked I could tell that she didn't want to be here after everything that happened to her from Parasite to losing her grandfather it was a lot for anyone to take.

"You think it's smart to leave while we have an open investigation of murders? You leave and Singh will blame you thinking you are responsible for them. You'll be on the run for the rest of your life...is that what you want?" I reminded seeing that Zoe had completely forgotten about that, she looked down at the floor a moment then looked up at me her eyes were watering with tears. 

"Everyone I care about is gone, I'm all alone Bar." she cried I moved towards her taking each cheek with each hand using my thumb to wipe the tears away. She locked eyes with me and I gave her a warm smile so she would feel better. The sun was beginning to rise around us, the dark sky was spreading with yellow and I knew she could tell that not everyone she cares about was gone.

"You're not alone." I whispered smiling seeing the look in her eye telling me that she was going to stay, I pushed my lips to hers and she returned it. I broke the kiss for a moment to look at her seeing her smile return to her face. "Let's get out of here..." she nodded in agreement as I took her into my arms and we sped away.         

**One more chapter until it's over...if you want a sequel show this story some love and maybe I'll post it. Until then thank you all who enjoyed it because I know I enjoyed writing it.
