Falling in love for the first time,
it was so many feelings all at once,
i had never felt so strongly before,
and it was crazy how sure i was that he felt the same way for once.
But in time i came to realize,
i had been mistaken.
It became like a game,
to fight for what i wanted,
which turned out wasn't even right for me.
Love shouldn't be a game,
you shouldn't have to fight for someone's attention and love,
you shouldn't be afraid to tell them how you truly feel,
and you shouldn't have to worry about rejection from them.
break ups are hard,
but i honestly do believe,
you have to have your heart broken before you can experience true love.
You have to be lonely and on your own,
so then when you finally have that someone,
you truly appreciate them.
You have to be lost,
because then it feels so amazing when you're found.
You need to be able to stand alone,
because it feels truly wonderful when you have someone to stand by you,
to hold you when you're sad,
to help you not matter how small the problem.
You have be thrown completely against the idea of marraige,
and be all for living on your own,
raising children by yourself,
so you can find that someone who really changes your mind.
You have to prove how strong you are by yourself,
so you're grateful to have someone there for you,
to help you, even though you won't ask for help on your own.
