Darkness resides all around us on Earth
Bringing people tragedy, despair, hunger, poverty, and depression
But when these broken souls are surrounded by people who love them,
People who dry their tears,
Who repair their broken hearts,
Who ease their pain,
Who catch them when they fall,
Who rise them up when they get knocked down onto their knees,
Who stand up for them when others talk them down,
Who feed them when they're hungry,
Who borrow to them when they're poor,
Who stay with them when they're lonely,
Who bring them flowers to brighten their day,
Who put a smile on their face,
Who make them laugh when all they can do is cry,
Who give them faith when they lose their own,
Who bring warmth to their chilled hearts,
This is how people are able to bring light into darkness.
