When I Kissed You

Chapter9

Prom was tonight, it was finally here Alyssa,Quin,Shelley and I all were freaking out. I couldn't decide why we were freaking out. Was it cause we were excited or because this would be our last prom. This night was going to be perfect, only four hours till prom.
It's every girls dream to be nominated for prom queen especially to win. It was three days ago and on the schools morning announcements they said the nominations for king and queen.

I walked to the bathroom and started to straighten my hair until my arms hurt then put a clear coat of nail polish on my pedicure nails then let them dry. After I was done in the bathroom I walked back to my room to put on makeup.
Once I was done it was time to put on the dress, I put on my dress and stepped back in front of the mirror to see myself in my prom dress, this was my night and my dress was perfect, from my waist down to a little bit above my knees a light pink flowy dress then black top from my rib cage and up. I heard a knock at the door and knew it was Carter , I grabbed my phone then told David and Laura I was going. I opened the door and standing there was Aaron.

"Hey"Aaron said with that smile.
"Hi" I replied.

"What are you doing here"I asked.
"I don't really know um I was just on my way to prom and just thought I'd stop by" Aaron laughed.
"Were's your date" I asked.
"Don't have one, I just thought I'd go cause I'm nominated for prom king just for the fun of it and to see you"Aaron muttered.
"Aaron I" but Aaron interupted me.
"I know"Aaron said.
"Well Carter should be here soon um"I said
"Um ya I should get going" Aaron said and started to walk away.
"You look good in your suite"I yelled at him.
"Thanks"Aaron yelled back then left.

A little bit after Aaron left Carter showed up and so we headed to prom. Once we were at the school  I got out of the car and I could see Shelley , Alyssa, and Quin. They looked so pretty I ran to them and we all hugged but the smile on my face went away when I saw Aaron walk by from the corner of my eye.

"Well then lets get inside" I said then held Carters hand and walked inside into a beautiful spring fling prom. It was finally one dance away before the queen and king nomination announcements. After the song the principle called the queens and kings.

"And now, time to find out who's our king and queen"said the principal.
"Our prom king is... Aaron Winchester" said the principle.

The look on Aaron's face told me he didn't see that coming, all the girls were screaming over him even if they came with a date.I crossed my fingers hoping principle Edward wouldn't say my name as he started opening the envelope.

"And now our prom queen is... Shay Halliwell"said the principle.

I got a pit in my stomach, my heart was racing I could barely walk forward to claim the crown. I looked at Carter and he was just staring at me. Aaron put out his hand and I hesitated to put mine on top. People stepped aside for us to dance in the middle of the gym, the song amnesia came on by 5sos. As we danced all the feels I had that night I went to his house crying came back then Aaron pulled me in close. I pulled away then ran out of the gym, as I ran down the halls the things going threw my mind were I can't have these feelings, I wouldn't have these feelings.
I made it outside of the school then out of the school doors was Aaron.

"What was that all about" Aaron asked.
"You it's all about you, you know what whatever" I yelled at him.
"You know Shay I don't get you, first your with Carter then kissing me then Carter just make up your mind because I'm done playing your game" Aaron yelled back at me.
" I'm not playing a game" I replied.
" then who do you choose Shay who"Aaron yelled.
"You I choose you okay do you want to hear me say it well fine, Aaron I love you" I said as Aaron walked close to me. 
He kissed me on the lips then I kissed him back then I backed away Carter walked out from the school.

"Shay there you are, I've been looking for you" Carter said.
"You ready to go" Carter asked.
"Yeah let's go, bye Aaron" I said then walked away with Carter to his car. As we drove off in the car, I looked back at Aaron and just saw him standing there the I put my fingers on my lips then Carter held my hand as he drove me home.
