Max wants me to trust Jake. How can I trust somebody I don't know? I mean he seems like a pretty cool guy and all, but again I just don't know him. I need help.

What's with all the one worded answers? 

Am I not allowed to answer with only one word? I could practically see him smirking.

Anyway what do you need help with?

I have myself a little dilemma.

Little? Does this have anything to do with this morning?

Well, yeah. You see last night I was going to give Max her beanie that she left on the couch and I walked in and her and Jake were cuddling. Like no distance between them. I felt like I interupted something so I ran out of the room. 

And?

This morning when you guys sent me to go get them, I kind of...um...saw what looked like a morning after scene. 

Yikes. 

Yeah, exactly. They kept trying to tell me it wasn't what it looked like and I told them they didn't owe me an explanation. Anyway, earlier Jake came in and explained that nothing happened. That him and Max sleep together, but that's all they do is sleep. I told him I didn't believe him. Then Max came in and told me to trust Jake. Long story short, I have no idea what to do!

So naturally you come to your best friend for help. 

Exactly. I'd figure you'd know what to do.

Why can't you trust him?

Because I don't know him. I have no idea what kind of person he is or what he's like. I know nothing about him, except his first name and he's friends with Max.

Understandable. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but maybe you should try and get to know him.

WHAT?? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FLIPPING MIND!? MAX WOULD KILL ME! SHE'S MORE THAN CAPABLE!

I think I might be. But yeah, get to know him and then tell me if you can trust him then. And if Max wants you to trust him, I think she'd be okay if you and Jake were friends. 

I don't know...

At least try.

I do. Like more than life, but you should make more friends and less enemies. 

Okay Hanna was a one time thing! 

And you also got into not one but two fights with Max. 

Okay fine! I'll try being his friend.

I climb off my bed and straighten out my clothes. Then I unlock my door and walk out. Only to smack into someone's hard chest. I look up and see it's Jake, smirking at me.
