We're now back at the house and I'm sitting on the couch with Max and it's really awkward. Blake and Xavier are playing video games. Or at least Blake is and Xavier's failing miserably, thanks to his broken hand and all.
"No fair Blake!" He complained.
"I am playing fair! You just can't play." They were playing this combat game that I don't know the name of.
"Not my fault my hand's broken!"
Then we all shouted. "Yeah it is!" He slumped down beside me and began muttering incoherently under his breath.
"Anyone wanna play?" Blake asks us.
"You're going down." Max says standing up and taking the controller. The game begins and Max is really good. In less than 10 seconds the match was over and Max had beaten Blake.
"At least someone can beat you." Xavier said giving Max a high five. Blake stood there gawking at the TV screen wondering how it just happened.
I stand up and close Blake's mouth. "Blake, honey, close your mouth. You'll catch flies." Everyone starting laughing. Even Max.
"A girl just beat me at my favorite game."
"Was that your first time losing or something?" I ask him.
"Yes." He says in horror. I fall to the floor in a rage of laughter. Xavier soon joins in and so does Max. Our laughter ceases when we hear a car door slam. Max and I jump up and I race towards the door. I threw it open and see Jason and a bunch of other people who I assume are Max's friends. I smiled ear to ear when I saw Jason.
"JASON!" I yelled happily. He dropped his small suitcase and opened his arms wide. I ran towards him at a full sprint. I wrapped my arms around his neck and jumped into his arms. He hugged me tightly and I didn't let go.
I missed you so much. I told him.
I missed you too. Don't ever leave me again.
I promise.
"Did you bring my sneakers?" I pulled away and looked at him seriously.
His face went pale. "Oh no."
"You didn't." He swallowed. "You did! Damn it Jason. I asked for one thing!"
He started laughing. "You think forgetting my sneakers is funny?" I looked at him in disbelief.
"You should have seen your face!" He said inbetween his laughs. "Of course I brought them."
I breathed a sigh of relief. Then I punched his arm. "What was that for?" He asked.
"For tricking me into thinking you forgot my shoes!" Bouts of laughter erupted around us. I looked around and I just realized we were creating quite a show.
"Jacob!" I hear Max shout and she ran towards a really, really hot guy and hugged him very similarily to how I hugged Jason.
"Come on! I want you to meet Blake and Xavier." I grabbed his and intertwined my fingers with his and started leading him up the stone pathway. He grabbed his suitcase.
"I already know Blake." He points out.
"Okay, I want to reintroduce you to him." I correct myself. I pull him inside and Blake and Xavier are there waiting to greet everyone. Good thing this house is big, because it just changed from a bachelor pad to a dorm house.
"Blake. Xavier. This is Jason." I released Jason's hand and stepped aside. The did the weird guy handshake that they all seemed to know.
"You've been good to Sara right?"
