My friends keep me sane and are like my family. Actually they're probably the only thing I've ever considered a family. We tend to think that because we're all different, but had similar experiences is what drew us together. None of us ever had any stability in our lives and being together just felt right. So, now that you kind of have an idea of everything you need to know right now, let's get to the actual story.

"Come on, Sara. Keep running!" Jason yelled back at me. We were sprinting down a dark alley and I was getting tired and falling behind. Abby and Christi gotten into a little trouble with the cops and we had just busted them out. Yeah, the idiots tried to break into an ice cream shop and shattered a window. And because Jason and I didn't have enough money to bail them out or anyone set as our legal guardian, we broke them out.

"Where's *gasp Abby *wheeze and Christi?" I choked out. He slowed down to a stop and made his way over to me.

"A little out of breath are we?" He said smiling. I just nodded frantically. He laughed.

"You think this is funny?" I said once I caught my breath.

"Oh absolutely." He replied. Now it was my turn to laugh.

"Glad to hear that. Now answer my question. Where are Abby and Christi?"

"They said they'll meet us back home."

"Good. Let's get home." We started running again.

We ran the remaining six blocks home. Home was a rundown house near the edge of town that we inherited from a mysterious guy. Yes we knew it was dangerous and pretty shady, but we were desperate. Jason unlocked the door and we went inside.

"Abby? Christi?" I  called out.

"We're here." Abby said as they walked out of their rooms. If you saw Abby walking on the street you'd think she looked like a doll. Or that she was a snob, but she's not. She is actually truly down to earth and nice to everyone. But if you mess with her, or any of us for that matter, she will kick your ass in a heartbeat.

"You guys look terrible." Christi said. And no that wasn't an insult. She's always been outspoken and will be completely honest with you. If you just took at one look at Christi, you would think she was a bitch, but she's not. She's just honest, which gets her in trouble more often then not.

"Well, we just ran like 2 miles and saved your asses." Jason retorted.

"Hey cool it." I told him.

"Okay, if that's all, I'm going to bed." Abby said.

"Yeah. Night." Jason said. Abby and Christi went into their rooms and then it was just Jason and I.

"What was that about?" I asked him.

"What was what about?"

"Well, you got kind of tense. To put it lightly."

"It was nothing. I'm just tired." He said. I glared at him. "Just, please let it go Sara."

"Fine. Well I'm going to take a shower. Night." I told him as I went into the bathroom. I turned on the water and let the hot water temporarily wash away my troubles. When I was done, I wrapped a towel around my body and walked to my room.

I just shut the door and threw my towel into the corner, when I heard someone clear their throat. I spun around and saw Jason sitting at the edge of my bed.

I squealed.

He laughed.

I then ran over to my towel and put it on. "What are you doing in here?"
