3rd Person POV

It was Monday morning and nobody was eager to go to school. Sara was dreading all the stares and whispers and especially Hanna and Jason was worried Sara was going to do something stupid. Chloe got up early to get ready and wanted to try out for the cheerleading team and Vanessa was already up reading. Jake had to wake Max up by literally dragging her out of bed, something she did not appreciate, by the way.

Jake wore fitted jeans and a plain white tee that hugged his muscled torso and of course his leather jacket. Can't be a badass without it, as he always thinks. Zach dressed comfortably in jeans and a hoodie with some sneakers. Chloe took her time and went all out. She wore a skirt with a blouse and ballet flats, complete with earrings, a necklace, bracelet, and a purse. Vanessa and Raven both went with a more subtle outfit; jeans and a simple t-shirt.

Max wore a loose pair of jeans with a white band tee. Over the t-shirt was a jean jacket with sleeves that reached her elbows. Always the one to blend, she put her bangs over her face and put on a gray Neff beanie. She threw on her old chucks that were held together with silver duct tape, staples, and thread from when she tried to sew them back together.

Sara wore her faded jeans and simple t-shirt and of course her sneakers. She grabbed her backpack and walked out of her room. At the same time, Max also walked out. They both stood in the hallway and looked at each other. Max smirked when she looked and realized they both wore the same shoes. She pounded her chest twice and gave her a peace sign.

"Respect." Max said and Sara nodded. They both walked downstairs to the others. Blake was taking them to school, except for Jacob and Max. Those two headed out to Jake's bike and rode to school.

Sara's POV

"You ready for this?" Jason asked me once we pull up to the school.

I put on a fake smile. "As ready as I'll ever be."

Before he could say anything else, Blake looked at us. "Don't do anything stupid today. And if you do, go out with a bang." He smirks.

"You got it dude." Zach grins.

"I have volleyball today." I remind him.

"Right. And Jason and Zach, you guys wanna try out for football?" They nodded.

"And I want to try out for the cheerleading squad." Chloe tells him.

"So I'm only picking up Raven and Vanessa?" He asks us.

"Pretty much. See you later Blake." I call out as I get out of the car. As I close the door and turn to the brick building, I freeze.

"Come on." Jason says from right next to me. "You can do this, just don't do anything stupid." He reminds me. I nod and walk into the school. As I walk down the hallway, I can't help but notice the stares and I hear the whisperings.

"I thought she was missing?!"

"Was she ever really missing? Or did she just do that for attention?"

"I heard she was abducted by aliens."

They were all coming from the same group of people standing behind me when I was at my locker.

"Calm down Sara. Don't do anything stupid." I whispered to myself. I counted to 10 and took a deep breath. I quickly grabbed my textbook and hurried to my first period class. I made my way into the classroom quietly and took my seat without even looking at anyone. The bell rang and the teacher began taking roll.
