The Only Reason

Beginning

(A/n-Just in case anyone didn't already,make sure to read the little bio thing for this book to understand what's going on.)

"Get your slutty ass out of my house,"my mom yelled as she grabbed me by my hair and dragged me outside where all my things where.

"What the fuck,you're seriously going to just kick me out for just having a friend over.He's just a friend,"I yelled back.She slapped me and shoved me to the ground and gave me a hard kick to the stomach.

"I will not tolerate your disobedience,so go live with your dickhead father and dumbass of a brother,"she snapped back.

"Dad's not a dick,he's a way better parent than you and Calum isn't a dumbass,I can't believe I've had to live with you almost my entire life.You're a sick and twisted witch and you'll never be a mother to me,"I yelled back as tears streamed down my cheeks.

"Get the hell off my lawn!You're 16,you're old enough to be on your own,so go the fuck away and don't sleep around like the slut you are,"she yelled back as she slammed the door as I pulled out my phone and called my dad.

"Hello."

"Hey dad,it's me."

"Hey Jewels,are you okay because it sounds like you've been crying."

"Mom just kicked me out and abused me again,can I come and live with you and Cal in Australia?"

"Of course Jewels,you're welcome here no matter what.Do you need money for a ticket?"

"No,I already bought the ticket because I was planning on visiting in a few days.My plane takes off tomorrow morning and don't tell Cal,I want to surprise him."

"Alright Jewels,just be careful and I'll be here to pick you up when you're plan arrives."

"Thanks dad."

"You're welcome honey.I love you."

"I love you too dad."

I then hung up and called for a taxi.Once it got here,I got my suitcases(she was packing while waiting for the taxi)and hopped in.Once I got to the airport,I took a nap because my flight didn't take off until 2 and it was 12.

"Flight 208 to Sydney,Australia is boarding now,please head to your gates.The flight will leave in 5 minutes."

I grabbed my two bags and walked to my gate.Once I was on the plane,I took a nap because it was going to be a long plane ride.I got off the plane and was immediately greeted by my dad.

"I missed you and Cal so much.I also missed Australia too,"I said as he chuckled.

"I missed you and trust me,Cal has missed you too,"he said as we walked to his car.Its currently 3 in the morning here.

Once we got to the house,my dad showed me to the guest bedroom so I could settle in.I went in and it was huge.I had 2 huge walk in closets,a queen sized bed,a tv,and a full body mirror.Once I finally got unpacked,it was almost 4,so I took a nap because of the jet lag.

I woke up to a loud slam of a door and I ran downstairs to see what happened.

"What happened,is everything okay,"I quickly asked my dad who was sitting at the table eating some bacon.

"Cal just left for band practice and he was running late,so he accidentally slammed the door,"my dad explained.

"Oh,okay,I thought you two got in a fight or something,"I said as I grabbed some of the bacon and eggs he made.

"We hardly ever fight,if we do,it's about something stupid and not an actual fight.Its usually a disagreement about sports or music,"he said as I laughed.

"You said Cal had band practice,when did he join a band,"I asked.

"When he was 14 and he's 17 now if I'm correct,so 3 years now,"he responded.

"Wow,does he enjoy it,"I asked.

"He loves it and they're really good too.He plays the bass and sings in the band,"he said.

"I didn't know he could do either of those things,"I said amazed.

"There's a lot you don't know about your brother.Also,I'm leaving for work in half an hour and I won't be back till dinner.Don't bother making dinner because I'm bring food home,"he said.

"Okay,do you know when Cal will be back,"I asked.

"He should be back in a few hours,so you'll have the house to yourself for awhile,"he said.

After talking with my dad for a bit longer,I went to my room and played the Xbox that was in here.I've been playing Cod online for awhile and I surrounded myself in food and drinks.I heard someone coming up the stairs and it sounded like a herd of elephants,it was probably just Cal.My door flung open and that wasn't Cal,this boy was just as tall as him,but had a blonde quiff,lip piercing,and blue eyes.He was very attractive,but who the hell is this?Once they noticed me,their eyes widened and quickly closed the door.I heard muffled voices outside the door,but the door soon slowly opened again with Cal's head poking in.

"Holy shit,Jewels,how you get here and when,"Cal asked as he tackled me,almost knocking me off my bed.

"I got here at like 3 this morning,"I replied as I kept my attention to the screen.

"Is this a surprise visit,"he asked.

"No,mom kicked me out of the house,so dad let me stay here,"I said.

"Why the fuck did she kick you out,"Cal asked as he started to get angry.

"She accused me of sleeping around when she came home drunk when I had Cam over,"I said.

"Why does she always accuse you of being a slut,"Cal yelled.

"I don't know,"I said.

"Guys,can you give us some privacy for a minute,"Cal asked,turning to the 3 boys standing in my doorway.

"Sure,"they all said in unison.

"Did she hit you again,"Cal asked.I just nodded my head as he engulfed me in a hug.

"I'm sorry that she hits you,no one deserves that,especially you Jewels,"Cal said.

"It's fine Cal,I'm finally away from the witch and now I can finally see my brother and father,"I said.

"Okay,now I want to introduce you to my band,"Cal said as he dragged me and the 3 boys to the living room.
