The Only Reason

Chapter 10

I was sitting on the couch while my dad put in a movie.

"Why don't you go make some popcorn before it starts,"my dad said as I nodded and walked to the kitchen.I walked to the kitchen and started making popcorn when I heard the door open.I walked towards the living room,but hid behind the wall.

"Cal,what the hell are you doing here,"my dad scolded.

"Sorry,but none of their parents want us over there and we have practice early tomorrow,so I was hoping they could stay here,"Cal said.The microwave went off saying the popcorn was done,so I took it out and walked to where my dad,Cal,Ash,Mikey,and Luke were.I quickly walked to my room as I gave the popcorn to my dad.

Once I got to my room,I closed the door and locked it.I pulled out my guitar and a song I've been writing.Before I could start strumming,there was a knock on the door,so I got up and answered it.I opened the door to see Luke standing there,but when I tried closing the door,he put his foot in the door so I couldn't close the door.

"We need to talk,"Luke said as he walked into my room.

"No,I don't want to talk to you,now get out,"I yelled.

"No,not until we talk,"Luke protested.

"Then I guess we'll be here awhile,"I said as I picked up my guitar and started strumming.

"Luke,get your ass down here,"Cal yelled.He then left and I started playing the song I wrote.(This song is Bulletproof Love by Peirce the Veil.)

Once I finished,I didn't realize it,but I was crying as I set my guitar next to my bed.I brought my legs to my chest and buried my face in my knees.

"That was about me wasn't it,"someone said.I brought my head up to see Luke standing in my doorway.

"You loved me,then blamed it on you,so I basically destroyed it,"he said.

"Get the hell away from me,"I said between sobs in a calm voice.

"Please,let me make it up to you,"Luke begged.

"I said go away,"I yelled as the tears constantly streamed down my cheeks.I saw a few tears slip from Luke's eyes before he turned around and left.

That night I tried sleeping,but was constantly waking up screaming and in a pool of sweat.I finally got back to sleep after the 2nd time it happened.

"How could you do this to me Luke,"I screamed at him as he sat in our bed with another women.We were married and it's only been a few months.

"I got bored with you,so I found myself someone better.We both knew this day would come eventually,"Luke growled.

"I loved you and you said you loved me and only me forver,"I said as tears started pouring out of my eyes.

"Well,I never did,"he snapped.I fell to the floor and brought my legs to my chest and buried my face in my knees as I screamed.

"Jewels,are you okay,"Luke asked as he pulled me close.

"Get the hell away from me you prick,"I screamed.I threw punches at his chest and fought to get away.

I opened my eyes to see Luke pinning my to my bed as I cried and layed in a pool of sweat.

"I heard to screaming,so I came to check on you.When I opened the door,you were screaming and crying,so I hugged you as you started throwing punches,so I pinned you down to prevent anyone from getting hurt,"Luke explained as he got off me.

"Get away from me,you ruined my life,now get away from me and never come near me again,"I said as I got as far away from him as possible.

"Jewels,please,I miss you,I need you,just give me another chance,"Luke pleaded.

"No,you're only going to hurt me more and I don't need to deal with that,"I said and pointed to the door.He hung his head as he walked out of my room.After that whole situation,I couldn't sleep.So,I turned on a light and started writing another song.

I woke up at 9 the next morning,so I went downstairs to get some breakfast.I grabbed a bowl and made myself cereal.

"Look who's finally coming out of their room,"Cal said as he stood in the doorway.I just took my things and went back to my room.A few minutes after I got to my room,someone knocked and I told them to come in.

"Why have you been isolating yourself,"Cal asked.

"Because I didn't want to see Luke,are you happy now,"I snapped.

"Well I'm sorry for being concerned for you,"he shot back.

"I'm sorry Cal,I've just been flustered lately,"I said as I hid my sheet of lyrics,but Cal snatched it out of my hands.He slowly read over it and looked at me when he finished.

"Jewels,this is amzing,do you have any music to go with it,"he asked as I strummed the cords to it for him.

"I didn't know you were an amazing song writer,"Cal said in shock.

"That's because I'm not,"I'm said.

"No,this song is amazing,what do you plan on doing with it,"he asked.

"I don't know,"I replied honestly.

"I do,come with me and bring your guitar and lyric sheet if you need,"he said as he dragged me out of my room.
