The Only Reason

Chapter 5

2 Months Later

Today is the last day of school and everyone's going to Luke's house for a little summer party.His parents trust him,so they left to visit his brothers for the weekend.Everyone stays for the weekend,so Cal and I are heading to our house to grab our things,then head to Luke's.

"Jewels,you ready,"Cal asked poking his head in my room.

"Yeah,I just need to grab my charger,"I said as I grabbed my changer and we left.

We got there and Luke opened the door.He was smiling like crazy which was absolutely adorable.

"Finally,you two are the last here,now lets get this party started,"Luke yelled and closed the door.

It's night out and the boys are swimming in the pool.Oh,I didn't mention that they had 2 other girls there so I wasn't the only one,but they were only staying for a little bit longer.Right now,us 3 are sitting in the lawn chairs watching the boys swim.

"Jewels,get your ass in the pool,"Cal yelled.

"Bitch no,"I yelled back.

"You're getting in even if I have to do it myself,"Luke yelled as he got out and chased me around the yard.

"Luke,fuck off,"I yelled while laughing.The next thing I knew I was off the ground and over Luke's shoulder.

"Dammit Luke,put me down,"I yelled.

"Not until you're in the pool,"he said and started carrying me bridal style.Not long after,we were under water.I came up and swam away from Luke,only to be pulled back into his chest.That tall asshole can stand because he can touch the bottom,but I have to actually swim because I can't.

"You're an ass,"I said to him.

"I know but you're in the pool,"Luke said as he went under.He picked me up and came back up.He just looked up at me who was laughing and started laughing with me.

"Put me down,"I said while I was laughing.He slowly put me down and I got out.

"Why won't you stay in,"Luke asked,coming to the edge of the pool.

"Because I don't wanna be in the pool,"I said.He just pouted his bottom lip out.I just laughed and shook my head at him.

"Before we leave,we have to play truth or dare,"the blonde one said.I didn't really talk to them,I just listened to music.

"Yes,lets do it,"Mikey yelled.

Everyone got in a circle and the one with black hair started.

"Alright,Ash,truth or dare,"she asked.

"Dare and the rules are no sex,drugs,alcohol,or nudity,"he clarified.

"I dare you to post a picture on instagram saying that you're gay and it has to stay up for 24 hours,"she said.He got his phone out and took a picture of the pool and put a caption on it staying that he was gay.

"Luke,truth or dare,"Ash asked.

"I'm going to be boring for this round,truth,"he said.

"Lame,everyone is probably wondering this,but is there something going on between you and Jewels,"Ash asked.

"Nope,we're just friends guys,"Luke said.

"Carel,truth or dare,"he asked the blonde.

"Dare,"she said.

"Jump into the pool and stay there for the rest of the game,"Luke said as she got in.

"Amy,truth or dare,"she asked the black haired girl.

"Dare,"she said.

"You get the same dare as me,so get over here,"she said she got in next to her.

"Cal,truth or dare,"she asked.

"Dare,"he said.

"Twerk for everyone,"she said as Cal got up and tried to twerk but failed.

"Jewels,truth or dare,"Cal asked me.

"Dare,"I said.

"Do the coolest flip you can,"he said as I stood up.I walked to the yard and did a front hand spring into a back flip.

"Mikey truth or dare,"I asked.

"Dare,"he said.

"Why don't you go next door and ask to speak to the manager of Wal-Mart because your doughnuts had holes in them,"I said as he got up and went next door.We all watched from the window as he did it.

"Luke,truth or dare,"Mikey asked.

"We gotta go,this was fun though,"the blonde said.I can't remember her name,oh well.

"Bye,"we all said in unison,then looked at Mikey who had a devilish smirk on his face.

"Luke,I dare you to kiss Jewels,"Mikey said as his eyes about popped out of his head.He turned to me and slowly leaned in,I just sat there frozen in place.His lips connected to mine and I didn't kiss back until Mikey added that I had to kiss back.He said to move on with the game because it was going to be awhile until we stop because said we had to keep going until he said to stop.

"Someone's.......going to......have to......go in....my place,"Luke said in between kisses.

The boys kept playing while we kissed because Mikey was being a dick.He just laughed at us because he felt like he did good,but we just flipped him off.After awhile,he finally let us stop,which we were grateful for because when we split,we were out of breath.

"Okay,Jewels,truth or dare,"Ash asked.

"Dare,"I said.

"Sing the song your addicted to right now and we'll play our instruments,"Ash said.

"Its Roger Rabbit by Sleeping with Sirens,"I said.

"Oh my god,we all love that song,"Mikey said as they started playing and I sung and they sung a little bit with me.

"Is there a right way for how this goes

We finished and they just looked at me in shock.I felt the heat rise to my cheeks and looked down.Was I really that bad of a singer?

"Am I really that bad,"I asked.

"No we just didn't know you could sing so well,"Luke said.

"So,what do we do now,"I asked as we went inside.

"Movies,"Ash suggested.

We got out a few movies and started watching them.They put in a horror movie and I hate horror movies with a burning passion.

"No,I hate horror movies,"I whined.

"Well,that sucks to be you then because we're watching it and if you don't watch it,we'll make you play more truth or dare,but there will be no limits,"Mikey said.

"I hate you guys,"I whined.

"Don't worry,I got you,"Luke said as he wrapped an arm around me and I hugged his waist.
