The Only Reason

Chapter 4

That night,I kept waking up crying from nightmares,good thing we got a few days off from school for break.Luke would comfort me until I would fall back asleep and every time he sounded like he was about to cry.This time I didn't wake up because of a dream,it was Luke.He was pacing around my room while he cried.

"Luke are you okay,"I asked as his head shot towards me.

"I'm sorry,did I wake you,come on,lets go back to sleep,"Luke said as he climbed back in bed.I leaned over and turned on my light on the night stand.

"No,what's wrong Luke,"I asked again.He just engulfed me into a hug as he cried into my hair.

"It's you,I can't stand seeing you cry or even being upset,it hurts me so much,"Luke said.

"I'm sorry,"I said,feeling bad for making him upset.

"It's not your fault,"Luke said pulling away to look me in the eyes.

"How is it not my fault,"I asked.

"Because I fell for you and when you told us you were dating Gavin,my heart shattered because I thought I would never have you,"Luke said,still looking me in the eyes.

"I just wanna call you mine,I haven't felt this way about anyone,ever,and I don't like that it hurts me when you're so broken,"Luke said.I couldn't believe he liked me back,but for some reason,the words wouldn't come out.

"Please,say I'm not the only one feeling this way,"Luke said as the tears slid down his face.I tried to speak,but the words wouldn't come out.

Luke stood up and tried walking out,but I wrapped my arms around his waist and started crying.Luke just ran his hands through his hair as he looked up while tears were still falling.I just slid to the floor and screamed as quiet as possible.Luke picked me up and set me on the bed.He went to grab a pillow and I knew what he was doing.I didn't want him to sleep on the floor or leave me alone,so I did what came to mind first.I quickly attached my lips to his and wrapped my arms around his neck.He immediately kissed back and got on top of me.I tangled my hands in his hair while one hand lifted me thigh to his side,so I wrapped my legs around his waist.His hand went under my shirt and I had to stop it there.I just pulled away,turned the light off and layed down.Luke just layed next to me and pulled me close.Right before I fell asleep,Luke pulled me completely on top of him and wrapped his arms around me.

I woke up to Luke still sleeping for the first time ever.His mouth was slightly parted with silent snores coming from him.When I tried to get up,his grip tightened around my waist,so I was stuck on top of Luke.After a few minutes of trying to escape,I gave up.I thought of one last thing and hopefully it would work.I attached my lips to his neck because I was too short to reach his lips.His back arched up and his hands squeezed my sides.Now,I was able to get up,but now I didn't want to leave.So I sat up,never removing my lips from his neck.I slowly made my way up his neck and nibbled at his ear.He let out a small,but deep moan,I just smiled and made my way to his lips.Once I got to his lips,I kissed him hard and then pulled at his bottom lips,causing him to moan louder and longer.Now long after that,there was a knock on the door.

"Uh.....who is it,"I asked.

"It's your dad,can I come in,"He asked.

"Hold on,give me a few minutes,"I yelled.I quickly grabbed my phone and texted Cal to see if dad knew Luke was over and was in my room.Lucky,he knew about Luke being over and in my room.I told Luke to pretend to sleep and then walked over and opened the door.

"Be quiet,Luke's still sleeping,"I said as he quietly closed the door and followed me to my bed.

"I heard about the whole Gavin situation,I'm sorry honey,"he said.

"It's fine,I had Luke here to make sure I was okay,"I said as I turned to look at Luke who might actually be sleeping.

"He's a good kid,keep him close because I can tell you like him and he likes you,"he said.

"I do,I just don't know if I can go into another relationship so quickly,"I said.

"I know,if he truly loved you,he would wait for you,"my dad said.

"Thanks dad,"I said as I hugged him.

"No problem honey,"he said.Suddenly,I was being pulled down by an arm snaking around my waist.

"Jewels,lay down,it's too early to be up,"Luke mumbled as he pulled me close.I tried to wiggle out of his grip,but he only tightened it.

"No,stay here with me,you owe me Jewels,"Luke whined.My dad just laughed as Luke shot up and got really red.I guess he did fall asleep.

"Sir,I didn't know you were in here,"Luke rushed out.

"Its fine,but if you hurt my little girl,I'll hurt you,"my dad scolded.

"I would never think of hurting her,the thought of it pains me,"Luke said as he wrapped his arms around me and set his head on my shoulder.

"Well,I'm going to head out,don't do anything I wouldn't,"he said as he walked to the door.

"Dad,could you not tell Cal anything about me and Luke,I still have to figure some things out about what we are,"I said and he nodded,then left.

"Well,that was interesting,"Luke said,laying back down.

"No kidding,"I said as layed down next to him.

"So,what are we,"Luke asked.

"I don't know,I don't want a relationship right now,"I said and he just nodded.

"Until then,what's it going to be like because this is going to kill me,"Luke said.

"I don't know,this is just all too confusing,"I said.He just pulled my head towards him and kissed my forehead.I looked up and kissed his nose.

"Dammit,"Luke mumbled under his breath.Before I could ask,he stood up and picked me up and pushed me against the wall.I wrapped my legs around his waist as he kissed my neck.

"Luke,we're moving too fast,"I said as Luke picked his head up from my neck to look me in the eyes.

"Okay,then how's this,"he said as he lowered his head again and slowly kissed my neck.I let out a small moan and could feel Luke smirking against my neck.He slowly picked up the pace,but took me to the bed.He hovered above me as he made his way from my neck to my lips.He slowly kissed my lips and I parted my lips slightly for him to slip his tongue in.I pulled away and he looked confused of why I did it.

"We can't do this,"I said as I sat up.

"Why not,"Luke whined.

"I just got out of a relationship,I need some time,"I said.

"I already told you,I'll wait for you,but you can't keep me from doing that,"Luke said.

"Fine,but no one can find out about this,"I said as Luke just nodded while smiling and kissed me.I pulled away and walked downstairs with Luke following.
