This time around

stable doors and secrets

Lukes pov.

Just in time I thought of these stables that we always wanted to go together but they where to far away but now I'm older and I can drive I thought we could go. Hopefully its still open otherwise I don't know what I'm going to do.

It's further away though because obviously I've moved and we've been in the car for about forty minutes now and surprisingly April was behaving quite well-

"Please, tell me where we're going!!!!" She groaned.

I knew it.

"No" I smiled keeping my eyes on the road.

"But its been like three hours!" She groaned and flopped down on her seat causing me to laugh at how dramatic my April is.

"It's been forty one minutes and we're nearly there" I laughed.

"Why won't you tell me where we're going!" She sighed.

"Because its a surprise but I think you'd like it" I said simply and she groaned even more. She loves horses and I wanted this to be a surprise to cheer her up. Maybe it will even remind her of something...I don't know what but just something.

As I turned into a dirt track she slowly rose up from her seat and looked out of her window as the stable came into veiw. "Are we-" but she stopped talking when I nodded and a smile grew on her face. "But I love horses!" She gasped and turned to me, "how did you know?" She asked.

Quick luke. Think of something to say!

"Lucky guess" I shrugged.

Aprils pov.

This is great. I'm so excited! "Thank you luke" I smiled. "That's okay, I've been meaning to go for years so now I've finally got an excuse " he laughed. He parked the car and we got out and I looked down at my feet. I was wearing my favorite blue boots and I looked around at the mud covered floor.

"Now lets see how much I really do love horses" I said. "Don't worry, I'll get you knew boots" luke laughed. "You don't have too, I'll probably just pester Kelly about it or something" I shrugged which made luke laugh. "Come on then, lets meet some horses" luke said abit unsure. "Don't worry,I'll hold your hand" I joked. "That would mean alot" luke joked back holding his heart.

We walked through the gates were an older woman about forty, walked towards us. "Hey guys" she smiled and stopped when we were opposite each other. "Hey" I said excitedly. "Hi" luke said. She was dressed in a pink T-shirt and white trouses that stuck to her skin with black wellington boots splattered with mud and a body warmer.

"I'm hazel, nice to meet you to" she said holding her hand out for luke to shake. He shaked it and she turned to me, "so, do you wanna meet some horses?" She asked and I nodded my head frantically. "Follow me then" she smiled and I jogged after her excitedly with luke trailing behind us. I don't think he likes animals very much.

She indroduced me to all of the horses but my favorite was called chestnut. He was a beautiful brown horse who was very lively and he was about three years old. (Picture above)I walked over to his stable and he imediently walked over to me. I started to stroke him softly and hazel came up to us. "He likes you" she smiled placing the wheel borrow she was pushing down.

"Does he?" I asked. She nodded, "there's very few people he lets stroke him and it took me ages for him to trust me, your obviously a very kind person April" she smiled. "Thank you" I smiled and blushed so I focused my attention onto chestnut.

"Where's luke?" She asked and I looked behind me, he was just watching the other horses run around in the feild. "Are you to together? Your very cute!" She complemented. I blushed even more probably going more redder than a tomatoes and chestnut must've notised because even though horse can't laugh he let out a nioce that sounded like one.

"Oh,shh you" I smiled at chestnut. "Well, in a minute you can help me feed him and brush him" hazel said and went of to get the things we needed. I looked over to luke but thankfully his back was faced to me. I suppose he was quite attractive and he was incredible kind. He suddenly turned around and smiled at me, I smiled back and my heart started beating faster as he strolled towards me.

"Hey, are you gonna introduce me?" Luke smiled. "Course, luke this is chestnut,chestnut meet luke" I said. "Nice to meet you chestnut" luke waved at him and chestnut made the same noise again, I put my finger to my lips and 'shh ed' him. "Hey, have you to got a secret" luke smiled. "We don't know what your talking about it" I shrugged and luke laughed.

"Luke!" Hazel called and luke sighed, "hazels got me cleaning out the stables" he said and I laughed. "So bye you secretive bunch" he waved, "look after her chustnut!" He called and followed hazel to the other stables. I giggled as I watched luke leave and then turned to chestnut.

"What?" I asked as he looked at me with his beautiful dark brown eyes. They remained me of lukes eyes. My heart started to beat even faster at the thought of him, I shock my head, pushing my thoughts to the bottom of my heart. "Don't look at me like that" I laughed at chestnut stroking his main.

You must think I'm a nutter talking to a horse but who else am I supposed to talk to. Besides maybe chestnut can sort of understand me, he just can't reply. "Have you ever liked someone?" I asked chestnut. I turned to the other horses in the feild,"what about her?" I asked pointing to a white horse. He made a grunting sound. "What about her then?" I asked pointing to a brown horse with white flecks.

Chestnut just turned away and started to eat hay. "Okay then, romeo" I sighed. Just then I heard Hazel came up behind me and smiled holding two brushes in her hand. I quickly blushed, "how long have you been there?" I asked. "Don't worry, my lips are sealed sweetie" she smiled and handed me a brush. "But I do think you would make a cute couple" she laughed lightly opening chestnuts stable door.

Awww! So maybe she hasn't remembered anything like luke wanted but maybe it's triggered some feelings she has for him. Sorry its short but I hope you liked it and I hope you like chestnut!
