This time around

Aprils pov

I had put all my clothing in the wordrobe and underwear in the draws below. I put my parjarmas in the draws of the desk and started on my bed. I opened up my other bag and started sticking photos on my wall.

I then went and put up my band poster, I only had one. It was a busted one, I love busted. I stuck it on my wordrobe door and the pictures where stuck above my bed. I then put my pillows on the bed, (I can't sleep on any other pillows other than my own) and got out my teddy.

I had had him for quite awhile now. I didn't know how I got him but I never wanted to get rid of it so I kept it. It's a little brown dog with a small name tag on it, her name is 'perrie'. It looked like it had been written on by hand by I had no idea by who. Or who thought of the name Perrie.

I put some other things around my room, like my small lamp in the corner of the room and a wind chime I got for my 17th birthday. I also put my book I was reading under my pillow. I looked around the room and sighed happy with my work. I heard luke walk through the hallway and open my door, "are you okay?" He asked looking around. "Yeah" I replyed. "Wow, April this is amazing" he smiled and I blushed a bit. "Thanks" I said quietly.

"Well, I thought as its past twelve I could take you out for some lunch" he said looking at his watch.

"Okay, I'll just get ready" I said and he nodded walking out and slowly closing the door.

I styled my hair into a side plat and changed into some fresh clothing quickly choosing leggings, a star wars shirt and my blue dms. I then put a little bit of make up and left the room. I skipped down the stairs and saw luke waiting for me at the bottom, he smiled and led me out to his car.

We both got in and did our seat belts up before he put his foot on the gas and left the drive way. "So, what do you like to eat?" He asked as we passed the beautiful beach. "I don't really mind" I shrugged looking out of the window and I saw him nod out of the corner of my eye.

After about fifteen minutes we arrived at the end of a town and luke led me to a small  restaurant. He opened the door for me and we sat down at a table near the window. A moment later a waitress came up to us, she was incredibly pretty. She had brown hair that flowed down to her waist and bright blue eyes like lukes.

"Hello, I'm Jodie and I'll be your waitress today" she said smiling sweetly at us both. She was holding a small notebook and black pen wearing the uniform like the other workers and like she had told us her name tag said, "hello, I'm Jodie!".

" can I get you started with some drinks?" She asked clicking the pen ready to write. "Can I have a lemon aid please" I said and she nodded writing it down, she turned to luke and smiled sweetly, "and for you sir?". " um, coke please" he said politly and she nodded walking off to get our drinks.

"So what are you getting?" Luke asked handing me the menu, I scanned it looking for the food that was the easiest to eat and wouldn't get all over my face as I am a very messy eater and very insecure about it. "I think that looks good" I said pointing to the boldly typed letters that spelled out, "the bacon cheese burger". " I might get one of them as well" luke smiled putting the menus away.

Just then Jodie came back with our drinks and placed them infront of us and we both thanked her. " so what can I get you two to eat?" She asked smiling again, she seemed such a sweet and happy person. She pulled out her notebook and pen again looking at luke, "can we have two bacon cheese burgers please" he told her and she nodded scribbling it down on the notepad then walking back towards the kitchen.

"So do you have any questions?" He asked and I nodded, now that I think about it, I do. "Spill" he said and I let out a little giggle at his choice of fraise. "Well, do I still go to school and of so, what school am I going to?" I asked. "Well your not 18, so yes, you'll still have to go to school but because you came here so late there's no schools left that have space for you so you'll have to be home schooled" he said.

"By you?" I asked. "No, I can't teach to save my life" he chuckled lightly. "So I'll have some old man that drones on about algebra sums" I huffed. "Actually, my friends gonna teach you, his name's Ashton and he's a great teacher, you should get along fine" he smiled and I nodded. "So, when will he start teaching me?" I asked. "Well, its Sunday today so he'll come round on Tuesday to meet you and see what lessons you like, then rest of the days he'll start teaching you" he explained and I nodded.

When we finished our food luke drove to the beach because I didn't feel like going back to the house. We arrived and he parked across from the beach and we both got out, "so how are you finding Australia?" Luke asked when we were sat down on the soft sand with the sand beating down on us. "Weird, I mean in Britain it would be raining by now" I laughed and he chuckled. "I guess it can be really weird if your used to it raining every day and then come here" he sighed and I nodded looking down playing with my hands and the sand.

"Yah now back in England its nearly the summer holidays, that means Niall's gonna have a lot of free time" luke said, I looked up and saw a small smile starting to appear on lukes lips. "You mean..." My voice trailed of as lukes smile grew and he nodded. "I've already arranged it with Kelly, rose and Niall are gonna come in a couple of weeks time to see how yah doing" he said. "Thanks luke" I said and he shrugged, "its okay, I mean you must be missing them alot" he said and I nodded.

Lukes pov.

April started playing with the sand again and she hummed a tune just loud enough for me to hear it faintly.

I knew it must be killing Niall that Aprils here with me but atleast she still remembers one of her friends.

Before the accident April was best friends with calum, Michael and Perrie, calums girlfriend. Apart from me, Perrie was the most effected out of those three because its not just me she forgot, she forgot them as well. When they found out Michael went mental. April was like a little sister to him and calum.

Perrie on the other hand just cried. All day. All night. She's stop crying now but she's still not the same. We're all worried about her espcially calum but deep down we all know what's wrong with her and we all know what can cure her.

April.

Because they weren't just best friends, they were like sisters. When April wasn't with me, she was with Perrie. Perrie couldn't live without April and had to protect April with her life. When April was admitted to hospital she blamed herself and was so excited when she heard April had woken up. And then we all found out she had forgotten...

That's when it all went down hill. Perrie just cried and cried and cried. She didn't know what to do so she just clinged to calum.

I told them the night April arrived. Michael and calum were happy but they still knew that she wouldn't remember them. Perrie was happier than ever but then it hit her and she started to cry again. I promised her I would get her best friend back for her.

And that's what I'm going to do.
