This time around

back to school-almost

Aprils pov.

I felt someone gently shake me and I groaned. "Go away!" I said innoyed. "Come on sweetie, I've got to get ready for work and Ashton will be round in an hour" luke said. I rolled over burying my face in my pillow and let out another loud groan. "Please, come on!" Luke pleaded with me, "I'll have to drag you out of bed...or...or I'll throw water on you" luke laughed.

I quickly shot out of bed glaring at luke, "you wouldn't" I said rising my voice. "I would" luke smurked and I sighed. "Fine" I yawned rubbing my eyes. I swung my legs around and got out of bed, "go get dressed okay, I'll be in kitchen" he said and I nodded as he walked out.

I shuffled over to my wordrobe and swung open the doors, wondering what to wear. I pulled out a light blue pair of jeggings and a Micky mouse T-shirt. I brushed my hair and styled into a messy bun. I then put on a little make up and looked at myself in my mirror. Not to bad for my first day of school, well kinda.

I got my phone to check the time, 8:17. I always hated waking up but once I'm up,I feel fine and I can't go back to bed. I slipped my phone in my back pocket and hopped down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen and saw luke sipping on his drink. "You up now" he laughed and I rolled my eyes but nodded.

"Do you want some cereal?" He asked and I nodded. He passed me the box and I got out a bowl and a spoon. I sat down opposite luke and poured the cereal in my bowl then started eating it with my spoon. I looked at luke once I had finished my mouthful," your like the first person that doesn't find it weird I don't have milk with my cereal" I laughed. He shrugged, "well,if you like it who cares what anyone else thinks" he said.

"Kelly always moans at me, she says you can't it cereal like that because its too dry and crunchy" I said and luke laughed. "Which reminds me, shouldn't you be ringing her...and Niall" he said and I nodded. "Wait, wouldn't it be like really late at night there" I said. "Hmm, maybe you could ring them tonight or something" he shrugged and I nodded eating my cereal.

When I finished eating I put my bowl in the sink and was about to go upstairs when the door bell rang. I looked at luke worried, "don't worry, you'll be fine" he said. "But I'm awkward,I can't meet new people,I get shy!" I groaned. "April, I promise you will be fine, Ashton's really friendly and he's a great teacher, I'll even introduce you" luke smiled. "Really?" I asked. "Yeah" he nodded," but I'll have to go in like five,okay" he said and I nodded.

He walked out and I heard him open the front door. I then heard too voices in the hallway. I decided to walk in the hallway and stopped behind luke. I managed to get a quick look a Ashton. He had golden brown hair and was quite tall like luke. He looked quite nice I suppose.

Luke looked behind him and smiled, "April,this is Ashton" he smiled moving to Ashton could walk closer to me. "Hey April" Ashton said softly. "Hi" I said giving a small smile. "You'll be fine, April" luke smiled. "Now, you can study in the kitchen and I will be back about three or four" he said and kissed my head causing me to blush,thankfully he didn't notice. "Have fun" he called and opened the front door to leave.

Ashton waved and turned to me, "so, do you wanna go in the kitchen?" Ashton asked and I nodded. We walked into the kitchen and we sat down at the table. "Do I have to call you sir or something?" I asked pulling a face whilst Ashton got his books out and put them on the table infront of us.

Ashton laughed,"no,no,ash will be fine" he said. I nodded, "so" he said clasping his hands together,"what subjects do you like?" 'Ash' asked. "Well,I like Drama,English and History" I explained and he nodded. "Okay,so what subjects in English and History?" He asked. "World war two and I like creative writing" I said. "Will I have to have homework?" I asked. "You like to ask a lot of questions don't you" he laughed.

"Sorry" I blushed, "its okay and yes" he said causing me to groan. "Don't worry,it won't be hard,it will just be reading a book or something like that" he shrugged and I nodded. "So,how about we get started on some Maths,I don't know what you find hard or easy, so I just put some questions together on a sheet" he said handing me a sheet filled with puzzles and equations.

"You can have as long as you like to work them out" he said and I nodded as he handed me a black pen. I wasn't normally that good at Maths but the questions were quite easy and I was acting beginning to feel comfortable around Ashton. Every so often he would make a joke causing me to giggle or he would talk to me about random stuff.

"You've got such a cute giggle" Ashton smiled making me blush. "Is that a good thing?" I asked. "Yes" he laughed. "I'd thought this would be boring but its actually quite fun" I said. "What do you mean?" He asked raising his eyebrow. "Well,for starters I'd thought you'd be really boring,drone on and on and make me call you sir, secondly, I thought the work would be really boring and you'd give me tonnes of homework" I sighed.

"I hope I'm not as boring as you thought and I wouldn't make you call me sir, that's just weird to me" he pulled a face making me laugh again. "Okay,now get on with your work otherwise luke will kill me" Ashton said and I coughed and nodded putting the pen to paper again starting the next questions.

I was sat on the sofa reading one of my books when I heard luke unlock the door and walk in. I turned around and smiled as he walked in a smiled back. "Hey" he said, "Hi, how was your work?" I asked. He plopped down beside me and laughed,"incredible boring,how was your day?" He asked.

"Quite good actually but Ashton had to leave at two" I said putting my book down next to me. "Have you got any homework?" He asked causing me to groan and face palm myself, I looked up at luke who was smurking at me, "would you believe me if I told you no?" I said and he shock his head. "April, you make me laugh" luke chuckled.

"What do you have to do?" He asked. "Write a peice of creative writing and Ashton wants it for Thursday" I sighed. "Well,I'll make some food for us and you can ring Kelly about you day okay,maybe even get your homework done" he smiled sarcastically at me. "Fine" I huffed getting up.

It was beggining to feel like home.
