This time around

Aprils pov.

We were bored with all the rides so decided to go to the beach near by. We had been sitting on the stones and sand for about half an hour. I was sitting with luke and he was playing with my hair,calum and Perrie were whispering together and Michael was throwing stones in the water.

Everyone just seemed so happy and content. I felt happy and content. It was the happiest I had felt for a long time and even though I miss nial so so so so so much (and Kelly of course) I'm trying to focus on the good and positive things. Like,I'm with luke and some memories are coming back to me,luke loves me and I think I may be starting to fall in love with him.

I suddenly felt my phone vibrate, I got my phone out off my pocket and saw who was ringing me. Kelly. I sighed and looked at luke who was looking confused at me, "it's Kelly" I said bluntly. "Oh" is all he said. "I'm answering" I told him and clicked the green 'accept' button.

"Hello" I said into the receiver.

"April? Love? Oh,thank God,why haven't you been answering my calls,we're all worried about you darling" she said desperately.

"Yeah,sorry,I've just had a bit of a shock lately" I sighed.

"Oh" Kelly whispered, "and what would that be? What's happened?" She asked worriedly.

"Umm,luke-"

"Mr hemmings?"

"Yeah,luke,told me something....." My voice trailed off as my eyes flickered to him. By now,no one was paying attention to the beautiful beach as Michael,calum and Perrie were all looking at me intently as well as luke.

"Well,um,what did he tell you love?" Kelly said sounding a bit on edge.

I felt my eyes water and a lump in my throat. "Umm,well,he told me about the,umm, about the accident" I said quickly and heard her sighed through the other end.

"Accident? What accident would that be?" She asked innocently.

"Oh don't lie to me! Do you think I'm stupid? Luke told me everything,how could you do that to me? How? You let me forget my friends,you let me forget luke!" I shouted at the phone.

"I'm sorry love,we thought we were doing what's best for you,luke was a bad influence!" She sighed.

"And you think that justifies what you did?!?" I spat.

"No,no,of course not,but you've got to understand, we love you and we wanted the best for you. This was such a mistake,we should've never given you to him,you should've never gone to Australia,if I'd have known it was him I would never have-"

"No,Kelly! Coming back here was the bestest thing that has ever happened to me,I'm not going back there! Ever! I'm happy with luke,and my friends" I said.

"But.....but what about us? What about rose? Jack? And nial,nials your best friend!!! This is gonna tear him apart April!!!" She said raising her voice.

"Just,tell them I'm sorry and tell nial he was the best boy best friend I could've had and tell him I'm so sorry but I won't see him.......bye" I whispered and hung up.

By now I was a mess,sobbing and shaking. Luke brang me into his arms and kissed my head, "I love you so much April,your so so strong for doing that,I love you" he coed. "C'mon, I need to get you home" he sighed and helped me up.

"Sorry" luke said to Perrie, "it's okay,we'll get a taxi home" she shrugged. Perrie hugged me tightly, "sorry,sorry it had to happen like that" she whispered. "It's okay,your the best girl best friend I could ever have" I smiled through my tears causing her laugh. "Thanks" she smiled wiping away one of my tears.

Michael hugged me tightly, "I'm so glad I have you back" he whispered to me. "I'm so glad I have me back aswell" I laughed lightly. "And you were so much stronger than me anyway,so I know your gonna get through this" he whispered and I nodded gripping his body tighter. "It hurts when you miss someone,you'll do anything for them,die for them even" he laughed lightly, "but you can't see them,but as long as they know that,then that's all that matters April" he told me now crying himself. "Your the best Michael" I whispered. He laughed through his tears, "I'm so glad to have you back April,so glad" he sighed kissing my head.

I quickly ran over to calum and hugged him tightly, "thank you" I whispered. "For what?" He laughed hugging me back. "Being my friend" I told him smiling and he laughed. "Your very welcome" he smiled and I walked over to luke. He held my hand tightly, "you ready to go home?" He asked. I nodded and smiled, "yeah". " c'mon" then he sighed happily and we got in the car. We both put on our seat belts on and luke started the car.

Lukes pov.

April sighed and run her hand through her beautiful hair. "What you thinking baby?" I asked her. She sighed and leaned back in her chair, "just.......this is gonna break nials heart" she whispered looking away from me.

"Hey,hey,hey,I'm sure he'd understand,he's gonna be okay" I told her putting my free hand on her shoulder. She brushed it away and looked out of the window, "no,no he's not gonna be okay! I'm the only thing he's got,you don't get it luke." She cried shaking her head. "Shh,shh,just calm down,we're gonna be home soon,everything's going to be okay." I told her but she shock her head.

"No,luke!" She shouted. "It's not" she whispered to herself shaking her head. "Shh,shh" I coed rubbing her back. "I'm gonna get you home,your gonna relax and not worry,okay" I told her and she nodded.

When we got home April was starring into space whispering to herself,I got out the car and raced to the other side,opening her door. "April darling?" I asked her but she didn't look up at me. I sighed and undid her seatbelt picking her up,bridal style. She gripped my body tightly and buried her head in my chest but still didn't say anything to me.

"I'm gonna keep you safe April, nothings gonna happen to you,its all gonna be okay" I whispered to her as I gently placed her into my bed and pulled the sheets over her body. Her eyes were red and raw,her cheeks were tear stained and rosy red. "Luke" she whispered. I bent down and held her hand softly, "yeah baby?" I asked. "Stay with me" she asked and I nodded. "Course" I smiled brushing her cheek. "I would never leave you" I told her, "never".

She slowly closed her eyes and her muscles relaxed. I made my way to the other side of the bed and crawled next to her,pulling the sheets over us both. I held her body tightly and kissed her head. " I love you april" I said quietly. I knew there was more than she was telling me about nial but for now I would let her sleep. She looked so tired and worn out,I couldn't wake her up and demand her to tell me.

I decided that I would ring up Ashton and tell him there wouldn't be any lessons for April for a while. I think the last thing April needs is school.

"Everything's going to be okay April" I whispered to her and closed my eyes.

Atleast I think it is.
