Chapter 41

~Rylie~

"Ry, Jade and Calum are here!" I heard Luke yell from downstairs. I was in Paige's room, changing Saylor out of her pajamas. She was 8 months old, and just wouldn't stop growing. Paige and Kol were out for the day, so they could have some time alone.

I put her on my hip, and walked downstairs. "Hey, guys..." I smiled.

Calum rushed to my side, and took Saylor. "Hey, babygirl..." He said, and kissed her forehead.

"Calum, you can't hold her the whole time you're here. You have to share.." Jade scolded him.

"How are you doing? You know, with it being 8 months since.." I asked her.

"Eh.. I'm doing okay.. I know that I shouldn't be upset since I never talked to him, but he was my birth father. My sperm donor." She laughed.

We all sat on the couch, and talked for a few.

"How is everything going with you two?" Calum asked after a while. Jade shot him a glare, and he sheepishly smiled.

"We're good... Great actually. We're happy.." Luke smiled, putting his hand on my thigh. I smiled up at him, and he kissed my forehead.

"That's good. I'm happy that y'all are happy." Jade said.

The door swung open, and Paige and Kol walked in. "Hey, mum? Can Kol stay over here tonight?" Paige asked.

I nodded. "Sure, babygirl. As long as it's okay with Jade."

She nodded in agreement. "That's totally fine.."

*2 months later*

I got up fairly early, and took a shower. I had a doctors appointment, and I was supposed to have a lady procedure done. Luke and I didn't want the risk of having more kids, so we decided that it would be best.  I got in my car, and drove to the doctor and got signed in.  After a while, it was finally my turn. 

"Rylie Hemmings?" A nurse called.

I walked to the back room with her, and sat down on the bed/table thing. 

"Okay, so we are going to need a urine sample to make sure everything is okay..." The nurse told me.

I quickly did that and the nurse said the test should be back in about 10 minutes. A little while later, the nurse came in. "So...you were supposed to have that procedure done... But there's a slight issue.." She said.

"What? Is there something wrong?" I worriedly asked.

"You're pregnant, Mrs. Hemmings..." She said. "Would you like to do an ultrasound?"

I nodded, and she grabbed the machine. She spread some of the gel onto my stomach and moved the censor around. "There's your baby right there.." She said, pointing to the screen.  She printed out a few pictures, and handed them to me. "The doctor said that you can come back at least 5 months after your baby is born to do the procedure."

I smiled and told her thanks. I drove home, and Luke was in the kitchen.

"Babe? I have some news.." I sighed.

"What? Is everything okay? Did everything go well today?" He asked.

"Everything is fine, but we hit a slight bump..."

I handed him the ultrasound picture and he gasped. "You're pregnant?"

I nodded. "Two months.."

"That was the night that we got back together.." He laughed. "But this is great babe... 6 kids, and a grandkid. We can manage... Let's go tell everyone else. "

We rounded all the kids together, and called all the boys to meet at Jade and Calum's.

I probably shouldn't have made her pregnant. But oh well. Get over it 😁
