"Okay, I figured out the source of the problem. The computer unplugged itself, however it managed that is beyond me, And It also looks sort of, burnt?" Mitch states, ending it as more of a question. "Burnt? How'd it get burned?!" Preston shrieks, looking all over it frantically as if it were his child. Actually, computers are his children. He loves them like they're human. "I dunno, maybe one of us did it wrong." Jerome says. Everyone turns to look at me and Rob. "Hey, just because we were independent and did it ourselves doesn't mean we fudged it up." I defend. Rob just nods along. "Well surely Preston didn't mess up. He's like, the god of computers." Jerome jokes. Preston just rolls his eyes, before saying, "Well I could've, but I already checked. I didn't mess anything up, it's just unplugged and.... charred." Vikk opens his mouth, but I quickly talk before he can. "I may or may not have pushed the chair in too hard." Preston looks at me. "Really?" He asks. "This doesn't look like it was damaged by a chair." He says. I nod slowly. "Yeah. Sorry. I'll pay for it, if it needs fixing." I apologize. I walk over and stand beside Vikk making sure he doesn't interrupt. I can feel him glaring at me. I just grin in his direction, before dropping it and going back to a straight face. "No, seems to be fine. Once we plug everything back in it'll be fine, the fan probably needs to be repaired though. I have a spare one though, so it's all good." He grins.

I hear Vikk sigh from beside me, and I snort. "What?" Rob mouths to me from across the room. I just shake my head, signaling him to not worry about it. Preston sits down on the floor, quickly connecting the cords that fell out. He stands up and brushes his hands off against themselves, and grabs a controller. "Now to set up Dota." He grins. "What about the fan?" Vikk asks. "We can grab it later, it's stable for now." Preston explains. We all stand by, waiting for Preston to set it up. I play with my hands, trying to avoid my thoughts. I mean, if I thought about something, it would happen. I literally can't trust my brain anymore. I sigh. This sucks. Once Dota is finally set up, and we start to play. With only 3 monitors. That was very hard, considering the monitor screens weren't very big. I'm not gonna go into detail with what happened, because who cares? Dota is Dota.

About 4 hours later, Jerome sits his controller down, and sighs. "I'm hungry." He complains. "We ate this morning." I explain. He groans. "But that was such a long time agooooo." Mitch agrees, setting down his controller as well. "It's four now, and we did that at like, ten." I argue. "Can you cook again?" Vikk asks. "Oh, so the stereotype is gone now." I remark. "Yeah......" Rob starts. "Nope." Preston says, popping the p. "Why can't we just get takeout or something?" I complain. Mitch rubs his chin for a moment, pulling his phone out of his pocket with his other hand. "What about Chinese?" Rob suggests. Jerome throws his arms into the air, and screams. "YES!" He yells, slurping towards the end. We all just scoot back a little bit muttering 'what's and 'ew's.  Mitch just laughs, and says, "Inside joke." We just nod slowly, and Mitch calls in the Chinese.

"So, Dota till its time to go get it?" Jerome suggests, picking his controller back up. I nod, and we start another round. It wasn't long until we had to leave to go and get the food. I decided not to go, since cars are a living nightmare for me, apparently. Stupid accident. Jerome stayed home too, Mitch was afraid he would eat his food in the rental car and ruin it. Which, he said he would do if he got his hands on the food. So, he's here with me. Great. I might as well just turn invisible again. "So uh, Lachlan." Jerome starts, sitting down on the arm of the couch. I look over at him, since I'm sitting on the couch across from it. Interesting seating arrangement they have here. "How do you like Florida?" He says, setting his phone aside. "It's nice. Not very warm- which I'm not exactly used to- but it's nice." I say, tripping on my words a bit. He just nods. "Yeah, I never expected Florida to be this cold in winter. I guess I was wrong." He laughs. I just nod. "How'd you do so well in Hide n seek? We couldn't even find you!" He yells. I just shrug. "I am known to be a blur from time to time~" I mock. He just rolls his eyes, grinning.

"Also- how'd you read minds and stuff? That's so cool! Too bad you can't do it anymore. That stinks." He sighs. I hesitate, before nodding slowly. Wow Lachlan. Much real. Very convince. "I've always had a thing for pets, I guess. I guess that's my 'special perk.'" He says, using air quotations. Huh. "I've always been good and hide n seek, I guess. And running, now that I think about it." I say, thinking. Is that what the lightning did? Boost my 'abilities' or whatever? But everyone seems to have something like that, something that they excel at. Did I just get lucky or something? Hold on, Is this even considered lucky?!  Oh god, I really am insane."Lachlan? Helllooooo?" Jerome draws out his words, waving his hands in my face. I blink a few times, looking at him. "Sorry dude." I apologize. "Nah, it's fine. It just looked like you were about to leave the planet." He jokes. I laugh quietly, before looking at him.

"Do any of the others have any talents like you do?" I ask, before quickly trying to cover myself with, "Just curious, since you love pets." Wow, He's definitely not suspicious at all. Well done, Lachlan. "Well, Rob loves flowers and outdoor life, that kind of thing." He says, looking upwards while thinking. He starts counting on his fingers, too. "Preston really loves fire. Sometimes he won't get burned by little flames which is intimidating." He laughs, before continuing. "Mitch has always had really good reflexes..." He says, thinking of something to say for Vikk. For some reason, I can't read his mind. Strange. (A/N: Hahahahh Life is strange jokeeee.....Okay I'll stop) "And Vikk... He's just a brainiac, really. I wouldn't be surprised if he had telekinesis or something." He says, chuckling. I just sit my head back. Maybe he does. "Huh. Didn't know that." I say. "My reflexes are terrible." He laughs, sliding off the side and onto the couch. "Mine are okay. Could be better," I sigh. "But at least you're the best at hide n seek and tag!" He cheers sarcastically. I laugh loudly, covering my mouth. "Catch me if ya can, sweetness!" I say. He just laughs harder.

"Okay Okay I'll stop." I choke out, trying to stop laughing. But I really can't. I'm a laughing mess. From a simple little joke. Wow, another point to prove my insanity. "Really though, are you like, the invisible woman? We could legit not find you! Plus, your voice is high pitched, as well as your laugh, and you can cook, so..." He jokes, winking at me. I give him the most repulsed look possible. "Thanks, Jerome. It really touches me that you think I'm an invisible woman." I scoff. He just grins. "Well I think it fits perfectly." He says, trying to flip his hair. Which doesn't work, since his hair is about an inch. I snort at his attempt, and he notices and glares at me. "What? You're just jealous of my luscious locks." I say sarcastically, brushing my quiff dramatically. He puts a hand to his chest, before dropping it. "I can't compete with that." he says, sighing. But then his eyes light up as he points to my hair. "Oh my god, the invisible woman's hair is blonde too!" He yells, seeming excited at his discovery. I just groan, putting my face in my hands. I look up partially through my hands and furrow my eyebrows. "Then who would you be in the fantastic four?" I ask. He thinks for a second.

"Ben. Errr- the thing." He says, remembering the name. "Wait, the thing? That's Ben's hero name?" I ask, confused. "Yep." He says confidently. "That's such a weird name. 'Oh look, it's the thing!' " I yell, imitating a crowd in a disaster. He rolls his eyes. "I like it. He could be anything. Even, he's not a thing, he's the thing." He says, making the Sponge Bob rainbow with his hands. I laugh. "Okay okay. Then Preston would be the human torch, who would be Mr.Fantastic?" I ask. He pauses. "I think we'd have to alter them a bit. And add two. Then, we're golden!" He cheers. I laugh, and hear the car pull up outside. "Thank god, they made it back in one piece." I mutter. Jerome must have heard me, because he gets up and runs to the door. "AND WITH FOOD!" He yells, doing that slurping thing afterward again. I shiver at the noise, and get up to get the plates. It still baffles me how the others have little quirks like I do. I guess everyone has them. Why am I the one who got this, spark, though? No one's ever survived from a direct lightning strike before, and gotten what I have. I get silverware as well, heading to the living room to eat.

....I guess I'm the only one.

Hello! I am very very sorry that there hasn't been a chapter. I've been very busy, believe it or not. But aren't I always? Anyways, here it is! I also made multiple references in this chapter, some low-key and some obvious, so if you find them, props to you!✨

Also, updates may be a little slow, may not be. Not to sure yet, I'll try to even it out though. My time management is terrible, so I try the best I can XP. So uh, yeah! Don't really have much else to say. I hope everyone is doing well, and have a nice day!

Much luv❤︎
