#24 The Zika Virus

I believe everyone have heard about the Zika virus which is very hot topic. As you may now, it is infected by Aedes mosquitoes. For a few decades, many had died for the dengue fever, especially in Brazil. Now, the Aedes mosquitoes have mutated again and they bring us the Zika virus.

From what I have read, the Zika virus causes foetus's brain to shrink if the mother is infected by the virus. Besides, recently, mentioned in the newspaper, this may lead to sight and hearing problems. I also guessed that this may cause the child who was infected by this type of virus to face learning disabilities.

Unfortunately, based on the newspaper, the vaccine is still a few years ahead. This is extremely terrifying. The only way to stay away from this type of virus is by eliminating the breeding spot of mosquitoes. Steps can be taken by adding 'Larvae-Killing Powder' into your water tub. Do not forget to make sure that your house does not have things which can contain water.

All in all, I believe everything is 'set' by God. Maybe God make this happen to make sure that we, humans, improve ourselves and expand our knowledge.
