Ordinary girl, is she?

Chapter 17: Sleep is important.

''Diner's ready!'' Demon screamed from downstairs. I came down and sat at the dinning table. He sat across me. ''Are you tired?'' He asked. ''A little bit.'' I replied. ''Well after dinner you better go to sleep. You've got to get up early tomorrow.'' He said. ''I can't.'' I mumbled. ''Why?'' He asked frowning. he heard. Obviously he'd hear, he's a vampire. I mentally slapped myself. ''I just can't. I've got the habit of sleeping late and I won't be falling asleep.'' I explained myself.

''But yet, it would be better if you do take rest.'' He said, looking at me intently. ''At 10, am going to sleep.'' I assured him... We watched an action movie and then went in our rooms. At 10 p.m, I was in my room while Demon was in his. It wasn't that bad to live with him. In fact it felt nice, to be with him and moreover him training me...is just too good to be true. Laying down on the bed, I kept thinking about him and the battle. He's training me to become stronger and that I'm gonna be. 

Time flew by quickly but yet, I wasn't asleep. I knew that I needed sleep, but I couldn't help it. I got up from the bed and opened my bag. I took out my sleeping pills. I had to get sleep, right?  If I didn't sleep it'll affect my strength and concentration.  But I didn't want to take those pills. With great difficulty I could stop taking them last year. Must I risk being addicted and facing it's consequences a;; over again? Or, could I simply ask him to help me?
