I was running in the forest, trying to escape him. Suddenly he appeared before me; I stopped in my tracks. Was I afraid? Was I terrified? Not the least bit. I just wanted to kill him. He killed them, my mum and dad. They died defending me. I lunged a punch at him but he blocked it easily. Taking me by the hand, he said laughing: ''You're such a naughty little girl. Unfortunately you've got to live so that I can fulfill the prophecy on the full moon of the eclipse year.'' I was too small at that time, too innocent and pure. My eyes changed color; my hatred rose. ''Well you are a threat to me.'' He threw a spell on me and sealed my powers before disappearing. I fell on the ground, writhing. My whole body was burning with pain...

''Angel! Angel! What's wrong?'' Demon asked, waking me up. ''Nothing. Why are you asking?'' I asked, sitting straight. ''You were trembling! Tell me what happened?'' he exclaimed. I felt an immense headache. ''Uh it's nothing. I'm going out.'' I said flatly, fully awake. It was  3 in the morning. I put on my hoodie and went out in the garden. I sat on a rock, my hood on my head. I closed my eyes to calm myself down. The past is hard to forget. I was only 6 then. When I saw the reality of life. But now that he's back, we'll have to battle. How was I supposed to win when I was powerless. ''You just can't.'' An ugly voice said. I opened my eyes to see him in front of me. That horrific mask.

''It's impossible for you to win the battle. You're powerless.'' He reminded me. ''Oh you're totally right but-'' I smirked at him. ''But?'' He asked. ''Nothing is impossible in life. And moreover, must I remind you what you are?'' I asked him. ''What?'' He asked. ''Old.'' I simply stated. He was infuriated. ''Oh, and I don't need my powers to win against such an old man like you.'' I added. ''Angel!'' Demon was crying out for me. ''We'll continue this another time.'' He said in an angry tone and then, vanished. 'The coward.' I thought. ''Are you fine?'' He asked. ''Yeah.'' I replied.

A/N:

It's not always the tears that measure the pain. sometimes it's the smile we fake.
