Chapter 16
"Girls?" I shyly said. Both turned around and looked at me with a confused face. "Oh, look who decided to appear?" Heather rolled her eyes. "Oh, so this is the way you treat your best friend?." I started off calm, but that isn't going to last long. "Best friend? Oh, now suddenly we're your best friends again. Did your other friends leave you behind?" Cara sassed. "What. What the Heck are you girls talking about?" I didn't know what was going on to be honest.
"Don't act stupid Jess. You know very well of what we're talking about. So all these days, with who did you hang out with, huh? Tell me," You could feel Heather's anger, but I didn't give a damn. Are they serious? They are the ones who are getting stupid here.
I started to get angry at them too. "Great that you mentioned that. I came here to talk about these last days. Then you both'll know who's the one who's really acting stupid right now." Heather sarcastically looked at me, "After 8 days passed you're going to tell us what happened? Wow, I'm impressed." I looked at the ground for a second, "You know what? I'm not even going to tell you what happened these last days as I see that you both don't care about me or this situation at all. You were the first who left our friendship behind not me. Why do I even care? I'm out of here, bye."
Cara grabbed my wrist, "You're not going anywhere. You started this now you're going to end it and don't even dare to say that we don't care about you cause I do care about you. We tried to help you, but you were never at home and with your mum here, we couldn't talk properly about the situation." I looked her straight in the eyes,"That doesn't mean you can disrespect me and diss me does it?"
Heather stared at the ceiling and shook her head, "Cara leave her alone, she just doesn't get it." I rolled my eyes and Cara looked at Heather, "Well, then we'll make her understand."
I was right in front of them and they talked about me like I wasn't even there. I was really pissed, "Hey, realize what? You know, at the night I cried you both had the perfect opportunity to talk to me and ask if I was okay and guess what? You didn't. So Cara don't come here and tell me that you tried to help cause that's just a fucking lie."
That night I didn't want them to talk to me, but if they really wanted to help they would speak to me and comfort me as a normal good best friend would do, but guess what? They didn't. They only wanted to know what happened to them that night and not why I was crying or why I left in the morning to not discuss this problem and now that I'm ready to it they only start a big fight because of it. It's sad how they just care about themselves and not about me.
Heather looked in my direction, "So? That's what you want to hear? That we didn't help you? That we left you alone? Congratulations. You got what you wanted. No, we didn't help you. If that's why you came here then you can leave cause our conversation is over."
Cara hissed at Heather, "No, it's not. Stop acting like a bitch. I know how much you want to know what happened these days...and Jess? That's not only our fault. Two days before that happened, we were at a club. Do you remember? Cause me and Heather didn't remember a bit of what happened that day and you should've given us an explanation a long time ago."
I was full of anger. How does she dare to say that, "My fault? MY fault? You can't be serious right now. Do you know why Heather doesn't remember that night? Oh yeah wait. SHE WAS DRUNK and what did you do all night Cara? You were chatting with a boy and drinking shots. Later on you fell unconscious. I was the one who took responsibility for everything and made it to bring us home. You both didn't even care that night. You both are the fucking fault for all of this and now you come here and tell me that I was the one who ruined everything? How dare you?" After my little speech the living room was really quiet for seconds. You could still hear a female's voice coming from the TV.
