Chapter 7

Nathan smirked as he sat down next to me.

I watched confused as he folded his arms over his chest and got comfortable.

The whole cafeteria went quiet. Like screw-hearing-a-pin-drop-I-can-hear-ants-crawling quiet.

I subtly looked to my right then my left to see everyone staring at our table. Slowly, and as inconspicuously as I could manage I slid lower in my chair until I was pretty much under the table save for my head.

"Everyone, it's rude to stare." Nathan mumbled. Everyone turned around so fast I swear they got whiplash. "Now, Alex, would you be so kind as to... I don't know... Go away!"

I groaned and sunk down even further so I was totally under the table while I heard Alex get up and walk away.

I wanted to shout at him to not leave me but my instincts told me to shut the hell up and hide under the-

"Oh Sam, yes." Nathan moaned in mock pleasure.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

What the hell is he- EW!

"EW!" I shot up, only to hit my head really hard. "Ow! My head!"

"What about my head?" Nathan said.

"Ew! Ew! Ew!" I said over and over again as I got the double meaning of what he was saying. Disgusted I crawled out from under the table. "What the hell! That was totally uncalled for!" I shouted as I ran out of the cafeteria totally embarrassed, not caring that I looked like a complete maniac in the process.

UGH! Nathan was such an idiot! Why would he pretend I was giving him...that?! Idiot!

"Wow! Princess, wait up!"

"Jerk! Go away! Ew! I swear I'm going to have nightmares because of you!" I all but screamed.

"Don't over-react Babe."

"I'm not 'over-reacting', Jerk Face!" I stopped near my locker and turned to face him. I swear if I got any madder right now steam would come out of my ears...

"Babe calm down."

"Calm down! Calm down? You want me to, calm, down?" I shouted the last part earning stares from people in the hallway. "What?" I yelled.

They all turned around and quickly ran away noticing how angry I was, wise choice.

I glared at Nathan before stalking off down the now deserted hallway and headed in the direction of the library that I had memorized from a map of the school the night before.

I heard footsteps behind me and knew that they were Nathans, I ignored him hoping he got the message to leave when I was slammed –hard- against some lockers.

I felt heavy breathing along my neck as I opened my eyes to see Nathans brown ones. Was it weird to say that our closeness and his heavy breath was a total turn on?

"Don't ever...walk...away from me. Ever." He said in a deep, husky voice that sent shivers down my spine.

I tried to ignore the fact that his rock hard chest was pressed up against mine, or the fact that I could feel his warm, warm breath against my neck.
