Chapter 12

"Y-you know?"

"Yea." I said like it was the most obvious thing, ever.

"Ok...What is it exactly you're talking about because I'm really confused..."

 "What was Nathan threatening you with?" I asked ignoring her question.

Alex opened his mouth to answer but Hailey shot him a look and bit her lip.

They stared at each other long and hard as if they were having a silent discussion while I waited patiently for what they were about to say, that is if they said anything at all. Which I highly doubted at the rate they were going.

"If she knows what's the point lying?" Hailey asked Alex.

"Because you heard what they said! You can tell her but I won't be taking the blame for you again."

"Ok! Relax you sack Alex." Hailey said smiling.

Now mind you this was all going on while I had a complete 'DERP!' worthy expression on my face.

"Sam, this is something that'll confuse you so much at first and you may be a little-" The bell rang, I swear at that moment I could have thrown something at someone.

 I curse whoever invented the saying 'Saved by the bell'.

"Everyone! Bell has gone! Get to class!" Shouted one of the teachers.

Hailey sighed. "I'll tell you later." And with that she grabbed Alex's hand and they walked to 5th period together.

With a sigh-and a lecture from the teacher- I got up and walked to my second last subject of the day that I was so not looking forward to, one of the only ones I had with Nathan...Biology.

I quickly went to my locker and grabbed my books for 5th and 6th period before walking to class as slowly as I could hoping that time would suddenly speed up and I wouldn't have to endure a whole lesson with him in the same room.

All I could think about was what he and his friends were saying to Alex and Hailey. Ugh why did I get interrupted at the most crucial point of my eavesdropping?!

I opened the classroom door and sat down on the left bench towards the centre, since it was the first time I had Biology since I started school, nobody had been assigned lab desks or partners.

I laid my notebook on the desk and took out a pen as well. When I looked up, I saw a man that was hotter than probably anyone I have ever seen walk into the classroom.

He had dark brown hair that just reached below his ears and electric blue eyes that contrasted against his olive skin tone. He had a strong jaw line with a light stubble and looked to be about six foot three in other words seriously tall and super hot!

"Good afternoon guys, I'm Mr Jones, welcome to your first biology lesson of the year." He smiled at everyone showing shiny white teeth and two dimples that made me want to swoon. "For now you guys can sit anywhere you like but if you guys don't pay attention I'll be assigning a seating plan." He raised an eyebrow daring the class to object before he gave a pile of papers to some kid at the front of the classroom to hand out.

"The paper you'll be receiving right about now outlines the syllabus and course requirements, and the other paper is your first assignment." He said with fake cheerfulness earning a whole bunch of groans from the class.

"Sorry I'm late sir." I looked up from the assignment sheet to see Nathan stroll into the classroom without even a glance at the teacher, instead he walked right up to the empty seat beside me and sat down like he owned the place.

I raised an eyebrow questioningly but he just smirked and winked not even bothering to find another seat.

"And you're name is?"

"Nathan."

"Detention after school today, doubles if you turn up even a minute late."

"What if I just don't turn up at all?" His smirk widened as he crossed his arms behind his back and I had to resist the urge to slap him for being a bitch to the hot teacher.

"Let's just hope that doesn't happen." And with that the teacher turned his back to the class and started the lesson introducing our first topic.

"What the hell?" I half whispered half yelled to Nathan.

"Hello to you too, and I'm fine, thanks for asking. What about you?"

"I didn't ask you how you are and I'm extremely pissed off! And why the hell where you fucking threatening Hailey and Alex you jerk Face?!"

"Don't argue about something you don't know about." He said his face suddenly serious.

"Or. What?" I said each word separately trying not to smile when I imagined Tila next to me screaming 'Come at me bro!' with her arms wide open.

Nathan leaned in slowly, so close that our faces were only a few inches apart. "Meet me in the clearing in the woods after class." Was all he said before the bell went signalling the end of 5th period.

Before I could even object saying that there was no way in hell I'd be going to the clearing he got up and left but not before turning around and saying "You better come."

I flipped him the bird before heading for my 6th period class.
