I love reading poetry,
But every one sounded like you,
Now I can't recite without tasting metal in my mouth.

He was my favorite vocal artist,
His voice sounded like what being near you felt like,
Now I can't hear these songs without feeling like that part of life is gone.

I live for dance,
I always imagined this would be our first dance,
Now these steps are meaningless and hollow.

This movie always made me smile,
That character always made the same faces I dreamed you did,
Now watching it feels like a close friend now dead.

I enjoyed my full life,
I always imagined you here living it with me,
Now through power of association I cannot live life without this pit in my stomach.
