Freedom

Freedom is being able to say "yes, I am proud of myself," and not having to be ashamed of that. Freedom is being able to cry and break down when you are having a bad day. Freedom is being asked if you are okay, and saying "no, not right now." Freedom is not being afraid to admit to your likes and dislikes. Freedom is expressing yourself because it's you, not that you're trying to endorse your image. Freedom is telling people that you have been writing for years. Freedom is accepting that it may not be the best thing they've ever read, because that's not the point. Freedom is doing something just because you enjoy it, and not feeling that you owe an explanation. Freedom is knowing that you may not be the best, and that's fine. Freedom is being able to forgive yourself. But here I sit, alone in the dark, writing about freedom, in my own little cell.
