My life is a piece of poetry
An illusion of something to feel
My life is a lovely verse
To make you think it was real
My life is a beautiful lyric
To give that strange twinge inside
My life is a collection of words
Where nothing really can hide
Life was only something I would dream
Until I broke the glass
Took off the mask
Look in the mirror and scream
I am a piece of poetry
Not just some fun words that rhyme
I am a factual verse
I had been trapped in these true words the whole time.
