Waking Up Is The Nightmare

I can't believe I found you,
You had been here all along.
Everything was brand new,
Set to a familiar song.
Couldn't believe my own mind,
Was it actually happening?
This is it this time,
It was really happening.
Could've stared into those eyes forever,
They held my lifelong dreams.
Neither had had another,
Noone else existed it seems.
This was the indescribable,
Couldn't believe you were mine.
The love was undeniable,
Eveything was so much better than fine.
Suddenly I choked on the air,
You stared like it was nothing.
I knew that I was there,
But there I wasn't breathing.
I gasped and choked and then I awoke,
To find you were only my dream.
The lump swelled in my throat,
As it all came back to me.
I was alone in my bed,
and you were never thinking of me.
