Yui is a sophomore at Hakasen Academy. She has a dog named Hippo and has a crush on a guy named Kato, Hachiru.
At school, she always gets a B or higher. All of the teachers can bond with her.
When Yui was little, her parents died in a car accident. Now she lives with her grandmother in a large house. Her grandmother treats her poorly because she thinks Yui is responsible for their deaths.
Her best friend is Miyasaki, Keomi. They have been best friends since junior high school. Yui and Keomi were always together. Both of them rarely get into fights. After school, they would always walk around the neighborhood looking at stuffs.
Her dog named Hippo was given to her by her parents, before they died. Hippo is the only living memorable thing that Yui owned. There is a photo in her room to see her parents but Hippo mostly comforts her.
Her crush from junior high school has been Hachiru. This all happened when Yui was bumped by Hachiru. Hachiru helped her up and Yui saw Hachiru as a prince since.
