- Hachiru's POV -
"Want me to walk you back home?" I asked her.
"Wouldn't that be a bother? I mean you still have to get your groceries."
"It's fine. I'll just get them tomorrow." I told Yui, and her face puffed up.
"Nope. I won't let your groceries be delayed." Yui said pulling me to the grocery store. I looked at the back of her head shockingly. Then, she turned around. "Don't worry it isn't that far anyways."
I giggled. "If you insist."
- At grocery store -
"What items you need?" She asked when we entered the store.
"A bag of rice. My family's running low." I answered while looking for the rice. We walked through each aisle and I found something really shocking. "Hey Yui, Diachi's here." I pointed. I looked back and didn't see Yui anywhere.
"Oh hey! Hachiru!" Diachi said waving at me.
"Hey what's going on?" I asked him while entering the aisle.
"Getting some groceries. You?"
"Same." I wonder where Yui went.
"Well, see you around. Gotta go home soon."
"Kay, see you." Diachi walked towards the cashier and when I looked back in front. I saw Yui. Yui all blushed. I looked back at Diachi and knew exactly what was going on. I started walking to Diachi until Yui pulled my shirt.
I smiled. She let go and I continued walking. I touched Diachi on the shoulder and said.... "Good game." and walked straight for the door. Yui followed and didn't make any eye-contact.
- Diachi's POV -
What was that all about?
- Hachiru's POV -
Wait a second. Yui and I both stopped.
"We forgot the groceries!" We yelled at the same time. While running back I saw my mother coming out from the store.
"Mom?!?!?" I yelled. My mom looked at me. She walked towards me with a terrifying face.
"Does it take that long to get a pack of rice!" She yelled at me.
"I'm really sorry ma'am." Yui bent down. "It's my fault."
My mother looked concerned. "Is something wrong dear? Usually no one helps Hachiru out." She smirked.
-_-
"He helped me with so many issues. Please don't be mad at him."
"I'm not mad... Just disappointed..." She said. I started to laugh and so did my mother.
Yui stood back up and looked confused.
"I'll meet you back home Hachiru." My mother said.
"Give me the bag of rice to take home."
"If you insist. Just be careful. I don't want to ruin your time together." She smiled. I blushed. Then she giggled. "See you back home."
"What were you guys laughing about?" Yui asked with confusion.
"My mom makes a lot of jokes for Hayato." Yui's eyes widened.
"Oh yeah! Your little brother! How is he doing these days!"
"Hayato is still the same. Although he did forget about the cards you bought him." I awkwardly giggled.
Yui smiled. "It's fine. They didn't cost that much anyways."
- In front of Hachiru's house -
"Let me just put the bag of rice into my house first." I told her.
"Sure." As I entered the house I saw Hayato in front of me.
"Hey Hayato. What's up?" He just stared at me for like a minute.
"Is Yui outside with you?" He asked.
"Yeah.... why you asking?"
"No reason." Hayato said as he ran deeper into the house.
"Okay...." I whispered. "Hey Mom! I'm leaving the rice here!" As I put it near the door step. I turned around and heard my mother calling me. She came closer and had a serious face.
"She really pretty, Hachiru. Are you gonna ask her out?"
I smirked. "I can't..." I turned around. "She doesn't like me like that." Then I headed out.
"I'm back." Yui turned to face me.
"Are you sure it isn't a bother?" She asked.
"Nope." I smiled.
"What were you and your mom talking about?"
"Oh nothing."
- At Yui's house -
"Sorry about everything." She frowned.
"It's fine. I wanted to do it."
"Well, okay then. See you tomorrow." She smiled. Then I smiled back.
