Chapter 6: The Date?

- Hachiru's POV - 

My mom finally stopped hugging me. The washing was finished so I took the shirt out and wore it. I looked in the mirror. Can't fix anymore it's time to pick up Yui. I put on my shoes and headed for the door. 

"Bye, mom. See you later!" I said. 

"Wait! I'm sorry, honey. I forgot that today I have an appointment. You have to take care of your little brother." said my mother. 

"What!! But mom this is my date!" I yelled. 

"Sorry....I think there is a solution." my mother said. 

- Yui's POV - 

I wore my top and shorts and put my hair up in a ponytail with a bow. (Just like the picture.) I went downstairs and saw that nobody was home. My grandmother must of went out. I put on my shoes and went outside to wait for Hachiru. 

I can't believe today is the day I hang out with Hachiru! I see him walking up to my house! I'm so excited?? I'm so confused?!?! Why is Hachiru with a child? They're coming near me so I decided to walk down the stairs.

"Hi, Hachiru! Who is this cute little thing?" I asked while bending down. 

"This is my little brother, Hayato. He's in the first grade." Hachiru said. Hayato just kept on staring at me. I sweat-dropped. I didn't know what was going on. 

"Big brother, is this your girlfriend?" he asked. I didn't know what to say. I stood up and looked down at him. 

"Hayato!!" Hachiru yells. 

"Um....um...." That was all I could say. 

"Hayato, where did you learn the word 'girlfriend'?!?!" he asks. 

"I learned it from my teacher. She has a sad life..." Hayato replied. 

I sweat-dropped again. 

"Let's just go to the town. We can see a lot of things there." I said. 

"That's a great idea let's go there." Hachiru says. 

It's better than asking if I'm Hachiru's girlfriend. I awkwardly giggled. Am I?!?!?

- Hayato's POV -

That girl better not be my big brother's girlfriend. She looks like a pig!  

- Hachiru's POV - 

I can't believe Hayato said that. What was he thinking? Yui as my girlfriend!! I wish.... 

I held Hayato's hand the way to the town. Yui was just walking silently. I wonder if she's bored? 

- A few more minutes later -

We made it to the town near the school. Hayato rushed into the town to look at something that would attract his eye. I saw Yui laugh slightly, and I started to do the same. 

"We better catch up with him." I said to Yui. 

"Yea." she replied. Since I walked faster, Yui decided to grab onto me. So we won't get lost. 

"Look at that cute couple. They are so meant to be." A stranger said while I heard. Do we really look like a couple? I looked at Yui and she was blushing. 

- Yui's POV - 

I can't believe that someone said that me and Hachiru looks like a couple. She even said cute!! I started to blush. Did Hachiru notice?!?! 

We finally caught up to Hayato. I let go of Hachiru and Hachiru and I kneeled down to see what Hayato was looking at. It was Rainbow Gold Fish Cards. 

I smiled. "Hayato, do you want these cards?" 

I could tell that he was in shock. "Um.. yea.." 

"Ok. Then let's get them." 

I bought the cards for Hayato and he looked happy. I smiled, I'm glad that he's smiling. 

"You didn't have to buy him the cards, you know?" Hachiru said. 

"I wanted too. I mean he looked upset so I bought him them." I smiled at Hachiru. 

- Hachiru's POV - 

I was in shock. Yui was smiling like normal. I'm glad, at least she isn't gloomy. But....the transfer of schools....

- Hayato's POV - 

That girl may be a pig, but she's a pretty nice pig. I change my mind! Hope my big brother is dating her! I want more stuff!!
