Chapter 15: Meeting Up

- Yui's POV - 

At home 

What was that all about? Why would Diachi ask those questions? Hippo came into my room. 

"Hello, boy." I said to him. 

"Yui!!" my grandmother yelled. "Come down here!!" I walked down and Hippo followed along. "Yui, how was your day at school?" she asked while drinking a cup of tea. 

"It was fun, grandma. I met a guy." I smiled. "Also I saw Hachiru and Keomi there." I saw her almost choke, so I came over. "Are you okay, grandma?" 

"You saw Hachiru and Keomi?" she asked curiously. 

"Um..yeah. They transferred with me." I awkwardly smiled. 

"Yui." I looked at her. She looked seriously. "I would advise you not to hangout with them anymore." My eyes widened. 

"Why, grandmother!" I yelled. 

"Don't talk to me with that tone, young lady." Her eyes turned to look at me. "This is for your own good."

"But.." I wanted to finish. 

"No "buts." she said calmly. "Now, go to your room." My eyes started to tear up so I ran up to my room. My grandmother just sat there like nothing happened drinking her tea. I opened the door and jumped on my bed. I started to cry. Hippo was by my side. 

"Why...why does this have to happen to me?" I cried even more. I wiped my tears and grabbed my phone. I started to text the group chat with Hachiru and Keomi. 

Me: Want to hangout, right now? 

Keomi: Sure, I got nothing planned. Where you want to go? 

Me: Anywhere other than home. 

Keomi: Something happened with your grandmother? 

Me: Yeah. 

Hachiru: Don't cry too much okay :P So want to go to the park? 

Keomi: We could get ice cream :D 

Me: Sure, let's go to the park. Better than home. 

I walked downstairs. 

"Grandmother, I'm gonna walk out for a while." I said. My grandmother didn't care. She just sat there drinking her tea. I put on my shoes and walked out. When I opened the door, I saw Keomi and Hachiru. 

"Why are you guys here!!" I whispered. 

"So we could go to the park. Let's go." Keomi smiled. I sighed and we started walking. The park wasn't far and we talked about random stuff, that we could all relate to. 

When we saw the park, Keomi ran towards it. Leaving me and Hachiru alone. I started to blush. 

"What a great weather we're having!" I smiled awkwardly. 

"Yeah!" he yelled. We stood there for a few seconds. 

"Guys!! Come on!! Ice cream!!" Keomi yelled and in front of her was an ice cream truck. I ran towards her and Hachiru followed. When we got our ice cream, we sat on a bench. I licked my strawberry ice cream. 

"Delicious!" I said happily. "This is the best ice cream I have ever tasted." 

"You never tried this ice cream before?" Hachiru asked. 

"Never. My grandmother would always buy the cheapest ice cream there is." I said. Keomi started funny crying. I sweat-dropped. 

"You poor thing!" she yelled. I awkwardly smiled. "Don't worry mommy is going to buy you more go ice cream." Keomi still was funny crying and I still awkwardly smiled. Hachiru was laughing like it was a comedy show, and we all started to laugh.
