- Yui's POV -
After the whole confusion, Diachi and I went directly to my grandmother's room.
I opened the door and saw my grandmother sitting up.
"Grandma!" I yelled while running towards her.
"Don't yell in a hospital." She said with annoyance.
"Grandma?"
She didn't respond. Why is she acting like this? Last time I visit she was better than this.
"Hi, Akiko." Diachi said casually.
"Don't say my name so casually. We ain't that close."
"Grandma, are you feeling okay?" I said with concern.
"I feel fine." She took a pause. "Just leave me alone."
I frowned. "Okay." Then, Diachi and I took our leave. A doctor was heading for my grandmother's room, but I stopped him.
"Excuse me, sir." I said for his attention.
"Yes?"
"Are you the doctor that checks on my grandmother?"
"Who is your grandmother?" The doctor asked nicely.
"Akiko Himura."
"Oh yes. What about her?"
"Can you tell me her conditions?" I asked with worry.
"I'm sorry, but this information is not something that should be share." He said with no hesitation. My eyes were filled with worry.
Dang it. I need to know.
"Excuse me." The doctor and I both looked at Diachi. "As the head's son, I order you to give us the information."
My eyes widened. "How do I even know that you are her real son? You may just be tricking me." He said with a smirk.
"You don't have to believe me. However, if you want to keep your job you will give it to us." Diachi said it with such scary eyes.
The doctor couldn't resist, and lead us to a room with computers.
He entered a password and logged in to the classified files.
"Akiko Himura, your grandmother, won't be living for long." The doctor said with no emotion.
My eyes widened. "How! Jenny said that her condition was fine!"
"Well, she gotten worse. The max she can live in 6 months."
Tears filled my eyes, but then I sucked them up.
I can't cry. I have to be strong for her.
"Yui. It's okay to cry." Diachi said, trying to have some comfort.
"I'm not gonna cry." I said with tears coming down even more. "I have to be strong for her." I smiled, then Diachi smiled.
Diachi's hands were around me as I cried for comfort. However, I knew that he wanted to cover my crying face.
"You know now. So you should go a check up on her."
"Thank you very much." Diachi said as we left the room.
I opened the door to my grandmother's room.
"Grandma." I took a pause. "I will always be by your side! Even if you don't want me to!" I yelled.
My grandmother smiled. My eyes widened.
"Thank you, Yui." I smiled. "Thank you."
