IVORY'S POV
"Luna? Is something wrong?" The man who blocked the exit asked. I ignored him and said nothing. Just kept my eyes locked on the ice cream.
"Hey Ivory, do you think I should get Rocky Road or just plain Vanilla?" Eric asked as he eyed the ice cream cooler.
"Are you planning on buying toppings?" I replied
"Wasn't planning on it, why?" He turned around and finally noticed the guy that at this moment looked like a body guard with his arms crossed and legs spread apart. "Who's your friend?"
"Don't worry about him, get Rocky Road then cause you need toppings with just plain vanilla."
"You're totally right. Rocky Road it is." As Eric was buying the ice cream his eyes kept wandering between me and the other guy. "Come on Ivory, let's go." He grabbed my hand and tried to get to the door.
"You can leave but she's not allowed to." My 'bodyguard' said in a low threatening tone.
"Excuse me?" Eric asked with a warning tone in his voice to match him. Eric straightens his back so he is standing his full six-foot frame. He mimics the other guys stance. "And who are you?"
"My name is Mike and I'm here to make sure she doesn't leave until Mason gets here."
"Ivy, is that one of the names you told me earlier?" He asked as he put me behind his back.
"Yup."
"Who is Mason exactly?"
"I'm Mason" I shrieked as I jumped. I turned around and saw Mason standing there with a death glare aimed at Eric. Carter was standing on his left and John and Hunter were on his right.
"Ivory? Are you ok?" Carter ran up and engulfed me in a hug.
"I'm fine Carter." I chuckled
"I should've known that you'd be at an ice cream shop. What girl doesn't eat ice cream when she's upset." He let go of me and held me at arm's length "Or chocolate. Oh man that would've taken forever. Do you know how many chocolate shops are out there? I mean -" I put my hand over his mouth.
"You're rambling." I removed my hand
"Oh sorry" He smiled
"Carter, I would like you to meet Eric. He is a manager of a hotel that I would stay at when my parents would beat me. He was the one that took care of me. And of course, Hailee would join me sometimes. Eric, this is my twin brother Carter."
"You have a brother?" He asked as his eyes widened
"I do, amazing, isn't it?"
"Uhhh that guy looks like he's about to kill me." Eric pointed towards Mason. I poked my head around Carter to see Mason fighting with his wolf.
"Eric, go back to the hotel, I'll meet you there."
"Are you crazy?! I'm not leaving you here with him." Eric pointed his thumb at Mason.
"Why you little -" Mason tried to get to Eric but Carter caught his arm.
"Let it go man."
"Ivory, get in the car." Mason's voice came out between his gritted teeth.
"Why?" I asked as I folded my arms.
Mason's head snapped towards me, "Excuse me? Mind repeating that again?" His voice held a threat but I didn't care.
"No, I wouldn't, I will say it louder this time so maybe you can hear me better. Why?" I raised my voice as I straightened my body trying to look more intimidating. Didn't really work since I'm so short though.
"Well if you don't want to get in the car with him, perhaps you'll come with us." I froze when I heard that voice.
"Oh no." I whispered in fear as I slowly turned around.
"Hello sweetie." When I turned around I saw the face of my parents. Let's just say that they didn't look to happy at this moment. Well, they never looked happy.
"We've missed you." My mother said with an evil smirk on her face.
"Mason!" I screamed as my father lunged for me. This isn't going to end well.
