IVORY'S POV

"What is your father's problem?"

"Nothing." I barley whispered.

"Getting held against the wall by your neck and having blood and bruises covering your body isn't nothing Ivory." He started to yell.

"Please don't yell at me." I chocked on unshed tears when I talked.

"I'm sorry Ivory. I didn't mean to yell. Please don't cry." He apologetically replied as he rubbed my shoulder.

"It's ok. You didn't do anything wrong." I sniffed.

As he drove we were both silent but I couldn't handle it anymore. "How about I make you a deal."

"Sounds interesting. What do you have in mind?"

"The more that you tell me about why you already knew my name, where I lived, and why you showed up at my house, I will tell you about what happened to me."

Silence.

"Do you want the deal or not." I was confused at why he was hesitating. I mean he wanted to know what happened to me right? Even if I really didn't want to tell him what happened, it was really starting to creep me out about how much he knew about me.

"I am not too sure." He hesitantly replied.

"And why is that?"

"I don't think you would like to hear why I know all that stuff about you."

"Now that you said that you have to take the deal. You just can't leave me hanging. I know that your curiosity to why I am so beaten up is eating at you. Just take the deal." I was starting to get frustrated.

"No deal. I have a pretty good idea to what happened to you."

"Oh? And what is that?" I raised one of my eyebrows out of curiosity.

"Your parents beat you. Well at least your father does. If your mother was even somewhat a decent woman you wouldn't have gotten hurt that bad. When you got pinned up against the wall I stepped inside. On the floor was a pile of blood. I knew automatically that it was yours. When your sorry excuse for a father had you pinned up against the wall, I am not ashamed that I was scared, scared for you. I knew I had to do something to prevent you from another beating."

I didn't say anything, I didn't know how to respond. How do you respond when someone tells you that he knows almost everything about you and would have risked himself to save you? It may be a cheesy movie line but it was cute.

We drove for a while in silence once again.

"Thanks."

"For what?"

"Getting me out of there."

"No problem. Even though I didn't take the deal. I will answer some of your questions. I do owe you some explanations." I sat up straighter when he said that. "I knew your name because I wanted to get to know you when I first moved here. You are very cute and looked like a nice person. I started asking people about you but no one really knew you and it looked like you didn't want to be bothered so I never acted on it."

"I'm not surprised no one knows me, they usually just ignore me. The people that do know me just tease me and play really mean pranks on me." I replied as I stared at the window. I wasn't brave enough to see his reaction.

"That is horrible. Now I really wish I had talked to you. Anyways, I knew where you lived because of Hailee. I've seen you two hang out and when I saw her freaking out and you weren't with her I knew something was up. She said she was worried about you but wouldn't tell me why. So, I asked if she could tell me where you might be so I could check on you. It took me a while to convince her but she finally told me where you lived. Though I wish she had told me about your parents."
