CARTER'S POV

Oh boy. Ivory doesn't look too good.

"Yes Ivory, I am a werewolf and I know Mason because he is my Alpha. I'm in his pack." Hailee replied as she rung her hands together guiltily.

"Out of all days you had to pick to tell me this, this is the one you choose to drop the bomb?" Ivory dropped onto the floor on her back and just laid there.

"What do you mean?" Hailee asked.

"A couple of days ago my mom and dad tried to kill me. Then the next morning I get into a fist fight with Zoey. Then that afternoon some crazy women tries to kidnap me and fails but does end up chucking me good twenty or thirty yards before disappearing. After all that lovely crap Zoey comes back and tries to kill me. That same evening, I was held at knifepoint. And to top it all off I found out that I have a twin brother, that I'm not human, I have magical powers, and I can heal myself." She yelled the last part as she kicked her legs up and down on the floor.

"Wow, that's got to suck." Hailee blurted out.

"Ya and then my best friend decides to all of the sudden drop the bomb on me that she was practically raised with my life long crush and that she is a damn werewolf." Ivory stood up and stormed up the stairs. A couple seconds later I heard a door slam.

"All that happened in a couple of days?" Hailee turned around stunned. "What kind of crappy protecting have you been doing Mason?" Hailee slapped Mason's chest.

"Sorry I'm trying. Am I really her lifelong crush?" Mason asked while rubbing his chest.

"Yes, she's never had a crush on anyone else. You were her first and only when you showed up at 14."

"Well when you have powers and find out you've been lied to for your entire life, your life kind of spirals out of control." I replied.

"What would you know Carter?" Hailee frustratingly said.

"I know a lot Hailee thank you very much." I sat on the couch opposite of her.

"Oh ya, and what would that be?"

"I'm her twin Hailee, so that means I've got powers too. And unlike Ivory I was actually kidnapped. By the same person might I add. Ivory just had Mason to back her up while I had no one so I actually got caught. Thankfully the little broad was stupid and I knocked her out and got out of there. Only to end up accidentally throwing Ivory into a wall with fire." I buried my head in my hands.

"Fire?" Hailee said in disbelief.

"Ivory's power is ice while Carter's power seems to be fire." Jamie filled in Hailee.

"No wonder Ivory is so pissed you guys have done a lot of damage." Hailee replied.

"Hey, don't pin this just on us, don't forget about the little bomb you just dropped on her Hailee, you're not in clear waters either." Mason pointed out.

"I guess you've got a point." Hailee replied.

"She needs some time to process all of this, put yourself in her shoes. We are used to paranormal crap happening to us but she isn't. She didn't know they even existed until yesterday." Jamie said.

"Ugh what are we going to do?" Mason groaned with frustration.

"I don't know, but we need to think of something fast. Because with our luck something else is going to go wrong." I stated.

"Hailee what's Ivory's favorite chocolate, ice cream, movie, flowers, color, and her biggest dream?" Mason questioned.

"Oh, I know what you're doing, smart move. Umm she loves any chocolate with peanut butter or caramel. Her favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip, she loves any Disney movie, and the flowers she loves most have got to be calla lilies. Blue is her favorite color and what do you mean by biggest dream?" Hailee asked.

"What has she always wanted to happen to her?" Mason replied.

"Well she has always wanted to get away from her parents and to get you to notice her." Hailee lifted one of her eyebrows. "And thanks to you she has both."

Mason smiled as he blushed. "Well then the others will do. Jamie and Jon, could you go pick up some peanut butter and caramel chocolates and mint chocolate chip ice cream. Hunter, you go pick up a ton of Disney movies and a bunch of calla lilies. Last but not least Carter and Hailee I need you to go and get Ivory to forgive Hailee and put her in a good mood as well as protect her. I will go and getting her something blue." Mason started off towards the door.

"Break!" Jamie said. We all turned towards her with confused expressions.

"What? It sounded like we were like a football team or something and you gave us our orders."

"Oh, got it." I chuckled. "Now go, hurry." Everybody split up as Hailee and I bounded up the stairs. Hailee grabbed the doorknob and turned it but the door didn't open. She jiggled the door but it didn't work.

"Ivory sweetie, can you please open the door?" Hailee asked sweetly.

"No, go away." Ivory replied stubbornly.

"Oh boy this is going to take a while. Let me handle it. Go downstairs and find some sweets to bargain with."

"Alrighty will do." I ran downstairs and started raiding the kitchen.

~ 15 minutes later ~

I had a tray full of cookies, brownies, and cupcakes with some milk. I headed up the stairs to find Hailee still on the outside of the door. "Ivory Snow Johnson you open this door right now."

"No, go away."

"Ooohh, ok." Hailee said as clenched and unclenched her hands as she tried to hold back her frustration. "She can be so difficult and frustrating at times."

"I heard that." Ivory yelled through the door.

"Good, you were supposed to." Hailee yelled back before she turned her attention back to me. "Oh good, you've got the sweets. She's got a big sweet tooth." Hailee turned back around with a smile on her face and walked up to the door.

"Hopefully this will work. Why did we get stuck with the hard job?" I whined.

"Oh, stop complaining you big baby. Hey, Ivory, honey. I'm going to make you a deal, ok?" It was silent for a couple seconds.

"What kind of deal?" Ivory finally replied.

"You open the door and let us in and I'll bring a tray of goodies with me."

"What kind of goodies?" I sighed with a relief. She's caving, luckily.

"I've got some cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and some lovely milk." After a couple of seconds, we heard a click of a lock and the door swung open. Ivory's tear-stained face came into view. "That's more like it. Now let's cry." Hailee handed me the tray and Ivory threw herself into Hailee's arms and continued to cry. They walked over to the bed and Hailee started trying to sooth Ivory. I put the tray of goodies on the nightstand and got onto my knees right in front of Hailee and Ivory. I grabbed Ivory's hand and she looked right into my eyes.

"Everything is going to be ok." I said and she gave my half a smile.

"I hope so." Was all she said before the tears started to flow again.
