IVORY'S POV

"MASON!" I screamed as my father lunged at me. I jumped into his arms as Carter knocked my father into the nearest table. Next my mother tried to lung but Eric grabbed a hold of her before she could.

"You were supposed to wait at the house!" Carter said through gritted teeth as he stared down at my father.

"Excuse me!" I yelled.

"It's not what you think Ivory. They have important information that you need to know that they have been keeping from you. I was going to kill them after they told you that information." Mason glared at them as his grip on me only got tighter

"I couldn't believe what they -" Carter was cut off when his phone started to ring. "It's my parents, I need to take this."

Carter walked away as I turned back to Mason. "What kind of information?"

"It's not something we should talk about in public. We need to back to the house."

I just nodded as I buried my head in Mason's chest. I heard Carter sigh as he came back.

"I need to go home and take care of a few things. I'll take Ivory with me while you take her parents and get them locked up so she will be safe. When they are locked up I'll bring her back."

"That's probably the best." Mason kissed my forehead "I'll be waiting for you ok?"

I just nodded again. I couldn't wrap my brain around what was going on. Carter grabbed my hand to lead me outside but I kept my grip on Mason. Mason smiled as he saw my reaction. "Go on." He gave me a small nudge.

"Take Eric with you please." I whispered in his ear.

"Why?" Mason asked as his smile fell.

"Because I said so." I replied sassily as Carter led me outside to the car. I hopped in and rested my head on the window.

"You ready to meet the people who raised me?" Carter started a conversation after a couple of minutes.

"Are they anything like my amazingly wonderful parents?" I asked with sarcasm dripping from my voice.

"No way." He scoffed. "They are actually the best people in the world. They are both doctors and work at the hospital that they own. Very loving and protective."

"Well we grew up very differently." I muttered.

Carter looked over at me with sympathy and guilt and we rode the rest of the way in silence.

~ 20 Minutes Later ~

"We're here." Carter replied as he pulled into a driveway. He got out of the car and walked over to my side to open my door. "Don't be nervous. They'll love you." He gave me a reassuring smile as he grabbed my hand and led me inside. His house is ginormous. I guess that's what happens when two doctors live together.

It was so beautiful inside and it smelt amazing. "Mom, Dad, I'm home." Carter semi yelled.

"There you are sweetie. I'm making some cake if you would -" She stopped talking when her eyes landed on me. She was really pretty. She had blonde hair that rolled down in waves to her waist and had the same eyes as Carter. If I didn't know any better I would actually think that they're related.

"Who is this?" She asked with a somewhat strained smile.

"This is Ivory, my twin sister." He blurted out.

Her eyes went wide open with shock when she heard him, "You know." She whispered.

"What haven't you been telling me?" Carter challenged her.
