When we arrive back home, miss Elle gets a group of older teenagers to get take out for dinner. We only get take out when miss Elle has the spare money, it's someone's birthday or it's a special occasion. I guess going out for the day is a special occasion, it doesn't happen a lot so its special I suppose.

We all rush upstairs to get changed and have showers, I'm going to have my shower later tonight.

I open the door to my room and see may sleeping on my bed, she looks just like a baby polar bear when she's asleep. I smile at her cuteness and walk over to my wardrobe, wondering what I should wear for the moment.

I decide on a yellow sundress, nothing fancy. My hair is still damp, and it will probably still be damp until I have my shower later. I take it out and let it fall down my back. I push the wardrobe door closed and look in the mirror, I've wondered for ages what my hair would look like if it was Taylors length. I think I will look okay but it's a big leap, going from long hair to short.

I sigh and go over to may, I kiss her head and she opens her eyes and looks up at me.

"Hey, May. Do you want to come with me to the laundry?" I pat her head and walk towards the door, she gets up and follows. "Okay, looks like you do want to come." I smile and walk out of my room with May, closing the door behind us.

I didn't realise at the time that the laundry room would be so full, kids are everywhere, trying to find their laundry basket to put their dirty clothes in.

I pick May up so she doesn't get lost in the confusion, and wait just outside the door. The wait is long, and the room is very chaotic.

After about five minutes the room is emptier than it was just before. I set may down and walk in, looking around for my basket.

Everyone has a white laundry basket to put their dirty clothes in, they're labeled with name tags. Every night someone, or a group, have to wash the laundry. Miss Elle will ask after dinner if anyone wants to volunteer, if no one does she will pick someone herself. She does the laundry alone once a week, so we can have a break from it.

I look around for the basket with the name Ivory-rose on it, and find it tipped in the corner. I pick it up and put my shirt and shorts in it.

"Hiya, Ivory."
I turn around and see Maddie dumping a pair of socks in her full basket, which is in the middle of a line of other baskets.

"Hello, Maddie. What's up?" I ask and pick May up. "I was sent to find you, so I bought my dirty socks along." Maddie says with a laugh. "Okay, well you've found me. Are we going to do the singing again?" I laugh as well. "Yeah, we were going to do it outside. Is that okay with you?" "Yeah, but can we sit in the shade? I don't want May to get sunburnt" we walk out the room and head downstairs. "Yeah. I didn't know cats could get sunburnt." She pats Mays head, and may purrs. "White cats can, and if they get sunburnt they can get cancer."

We find the others downstairs in the living room, and we all walk outside. Emily already got Miss Elle's guitar from the office, so I don't have to.

We sit under a tree in the small garden, and decide what song to sing. We decide on last kiss, shake it off and blank space.

"Mc Donald's for all! Come outside, I see Chloe and them sitting down with a guitar, we can have a concert while eating dinner!" One of the older girls yells and everyone comes out and sits on the grass in front of us. She walks over with her friends, they're carrying a box of burgers and chips. "Gee thanks Eliza." Chloe rolls her eyes and the girl, Eliza, laughs. "No problem."

The girls and Eliza hand everyone a cheeseburger and chips, and once everyone has their food, including us, Maddie stands up and speaks.

"Okay, so a big thanks to Eliza," she points to her. "We will be singing for you." A small boy a few meters away puts up his hand. "What are you singing? I heard you singing before, you're good." He asks. "Thanks so much! And we're going to sing last kiss, shake it off and blank space." We smile and get ready.
