(A/N): this will probably be one of my saddest one-shots on here. Comment if you actually shed a tear. (it won't hurt my feelings if you don't, alright?) the person who knows me best on here will see how important/significant this is to my life. I still hope you guys like it, though.

I knock on the door, standing out in the rain just so I can get this over with. I really don't want to do this, but what choice do I have? (hold on, was that a reference? lol)

The door clicks and it opens up to my surprise, giving me a full view of the man I need to talk to. He stutters, "Oh,um,hi,um,yeah hi. What're you doing here, Alliana?"

I say, shivering a little, "We need to have a chat...can I come in?"

He says, "Of course. Sorry, I haven't gotten many visitors since...well...you know..."

I say, stepping inside the warm flat, "Yeah, let's not talk about that day, okay? This is another bad news chat, though."

He looks down at his bare feet, then says, "I figured. Let's go upstairs, shall we?"

I follow him up the stairs, and into the front room, where I sit in the chair across from his in front of the fire. I say, giving a warm smile, "I have to say that I've really missed this place."

"And I've missed you, Alliana." He blurts, randomly.

I stare at him for a second, then say, "Well, I'm guessing that you've gone back to showing no emotion, and you need someone to vent to?"

"So, how was your time in America? Well, going back, I mean?" He asks, placing his hands in his normal thiñing position.

I say, "Well, it was alright, I guess. I met these three guys, and we now hunt together."

He raises a brow, and I add, "That's what I came to talk about today, well....tonight actually, because it isn't daytime anymore."

He rolls his eyes, saying, "Lemme' guess. You have feelings for one of them, and you've come back to...?"

I blurt, "I've come back to break...up...with...you..."

Suddenly, his expression changes, and I feel horrible now. "I seriously didn't want to have to do this, Sherlock, but I have to." I say, looking down at my black gloves on my small hands.

"Why? Why do you have to?"

"Because I...because I love one of them. I know I've said those same words about you, but anything that we had, Sherley, it's over, and I'm so sorry, but I have to keep moving."

He puts his head in his hands for a moment, not breathing a single word, then when he sits back up, I see the tears streaming down his face.

"Was it my fault that you went back there? Was it me who was keeping you from them?"

"No, no, no. Don't blame yourself, it wasn't you, I promise. It's...it's me. I just...well, I've fallen in love with someone else."

Sherlock sniffs, saying, "I can smell him on you. Hmm...gunpowder and...leather? Maybe? Does he feel the same about you, Alliana?"

I shrug, saying, "I, well, I don't really know. I'm just taking a leap of faith here, honestly. I hope he does; I even think he does. His brother says he does."

"I love you, Alliana, but since I want you to be happy...I'll let you go. No fighting, or anything. You know I could never hurt you in any way."

I say, "And I didn't want to hurt you with this, but I knew I would. And I really am sorry. I know I keep saying it, but that's because I truly am. I wish it wasn't this way."
