I hear the door slam in the other room, and immediately get up to go see who just got back [maybe]. I take the risk of not grabbing my knife because if it's either of the boys, they both know that I have an unfortunate fast reflex habit. I've almost stabbed both of them, and I did sliced Cas in the arm one time.

"Als, I'm back!" a voice calls, and I smile. My boyfriend's back! (isn't that a song?) I run into the other room, and see him standing in front of the door, bloodied, with a rather large box in his arms.

I say, "Oh Dean, what did you slaughter today? You look like you ran through a blood sprinkler!"

He just chuckles, then says, "I guess it could be for this somewhat special day, then."

I ask, raising a brow, "What's the occasion?"

He says, "Babe, it's Valentine's Day. Is that not a little important to you?"

I roll my eyes, saying, "I didn't think it really mattered to"

"It definitely matters now, because I have someone to love now."

I smile, then say, "Alright, that was cute. Now what's in the box, Deano?"

He tilts it towards me, and says, "Why don't you find out?"

I lift the flaps on it, and find a little golden retriever puppy with a few blood splatters on its coat. I pull it out of the box, cradling it in my arms, saying, "Aw, Dean! You're so sweet; thank you!"

He gives me a smile, then says, "I'm gonna' go get this vampire blood off me, so you watch that little guy like a hawk while I'm gone, okay? He's a fast one, you know."

I snort, then Dean goes into the bathroom, and starts up the shower. I badly want to get in the shower with him, but he told me to watch the puppy.

I put the puppy down, and he takes off into the other room. I say, rushing after him, "Whoa! Come back, you little stinker!"

I hear the front door slam behind me, and turn seeing Sam, looking completely clean. He says, "What're you doing?"

I say, grabbing the puppy, "I'm trying to keep this little guy from running off. He sure is fast for an animal with short legs."

Sam says, "Yeah, I guess that makes sense. And, I'm thinking Dean gave it to you?"

I nod. Sam huffs loudly, then I look towards the bathroom door, hearing the shower running.

Sam asks, rolling his eyes, "You want me to watch the puppy, don't you?"

I nod, saying, "Just this once."

He sighs, then reaches his hands out for it. I place the puppy in his arms, and watch his facial expression soften a little. The little puppy's big blue eyes stare up into Sam's ocean-like irises.

Huh. I never knew that Sam Winchester likes puppies. You learn something new every day, right?

I watched Sam pet the dog's fluffy fur, then I walked to the bathroom, happily. I open the door, and notice that I can't see his silhouette, which is weird. I walk over to the shower, and peek around the curtain.

He's not there.

His clothes are laying in a pile on the cool tiles, but he's nowhere in sight. Where'd he go? He couldn't sneak by me, could he?

I walk back out, and see the small puppy sprawled out on the couch. "Sam, how come you aren't holding him anymore?" I ask.

"Well, he went berserk for a second, then he stopped and jumped up on the couch. Now, he's just chillin', so he's not much of a problem."
