[A/N: Js, I'm not rlly familiar with how auditions and stuff go, or things about anyone's personal lives, so i'm just making guesses.]

June 6th

Summer Day 7

"You know what I love about this cabin?" Kaylin asks, shoving a spoonful of Krave cereal in her mouth. "What?" I ask, doing the same. "That it has a pool." She says and I laugh. "True." I agree. "So when's everyone coming over?" Karson asks while pouring a glass of milk for him to drink.

"They'll be over here later, not sure what time. Nat and Justice went to Walmart to get Nat a new phone. They finally found some place to get one at. So I guess after that." I tell him and he nods. "Cool."

When I'm finished with my cereal I place the bowl in the sink and head to my room to get my clothes. I don't really think we're doing anything today so I'm not really going to choose my outfit.

My mom's doing her hair. She must be going out. "Marian and I are going out, and Dave is going to hang out with Mark, so it'll just be you kids here today." She says and I nod. "Have fun." I tell her and open the closet door.

I grab a pair of black runner shorts and a navy blue muscle shirt that says 'Excercise? Extra fries.'

I'm not at all athletic, but I still like to buy the clothes because they're really comfortable.

I walk into the bathroom and get dressed. When I'm done, I walk into the living room and sit down next to Kaylin. The adults must of already left. How long was I in the bathroom?

Kaylin's smiling down at her phone. Probably texting Nat or someone.

"So Karson, did you have fun with the demon yesterday?" Kaylin asks when my brother sits down across from us.

"Yeah, it was fun. But she did make me ride like all the rides, so we almost threw up." He says and we laugh. I'm 99% sure he has a crush on her but won't admit it.

"I'm really going to hate it when summer ends." Kaylin says putting her phone down. "Me too." I tell her and she smiles a little. "But I mean I'm kind of excited." She says and I give her a confused look.

"You know how I wanted to be an actress?" She asks and I nod. "Well, Nat's in a movie, and he wanted me to audition for it." She says and I start smiling too. "Kaylin that's great! When's your audition?" I ask. "Actually, I already auditioned. So that means as soon as we leave here I'll have to fly out to L.A. to start filming." She says the last part softly. I'm speechless. My best friend is leaving me for a few months. I won't have anyone to talk to at school, and I doubt Elliot will want to talk to me after the whole parents thing.

Karson's face falls. "You're gonna miss my birthday?" He asks and Kaylin's smile fades. Kaylin nods. Kaylin's never missed one of Karson's parties. We've basically known each other since birth, and she was there with me when Karson was born. Sure we were only 3 years old, but I still know she was there. Karson was born on July 5th, so we usually set off fireworks for the 4th and 5th, it's kind of a tradition. Without her it wouldn't be the same.

"Oh." was all he could say. "Karson I'm so sorry." She tells him and he nods. "It's okay. We can celebrate when you get back, whenever that is." He tells her and she sighs. Karson wipes a couple of tears from his eyes. "I'm going to go play Mario Kart now." He mumbles and heads into our room, probably to grab his 3DS.

As soon as he leaves an idea pops into my head. I grab my phone and message the group chat.
