Anthony"I had a great time wit' ya tonight."
She looks down at the ground and chuckles,"I guess it wasn't too bad."
I wrap my arm around her waist as we continue towards the shop.
"We should do it again sometime."
She sighs, "I don't think that's a good idea."
I turn towards her suddenly, "Why Lei?"
"I have a no dating policy when it comes to my student's parents. Plus, there's too much going on in my life right now. I can't possibly put effort into trying to build a relationship. Especially not one that's not going to be long term."
"Ya can't automatically assume that something's not gonna work. Using the past as an excuse ain't healthy. You don't see me using Jay as a reason to not go out and enjoy myself. Cause' when it's all said and done, there's no point in doing whatchu love if you don't have nobody to share it with."
She grew quiet as we reached the shop. Opening the door, I help her in the passenger's seat. Closing the door behind me, I sit on my side and start the truck up.
"Where Tia stay?"
"St. Andrew"
We ride towards the house in silence.

Stopping in front of T's, Ant cuts off the ignition. He then steps out and comes over to my side, opening the door. I step out slowly as he closes it behind me.
I turn to walk away, but he grabs my hand and gently pulls me towards him.
I avoid eye contact with him before he picks my chin up and kisses me softly on the lips. As our lips intertwine, his hands slowly travel and cup my bottom while he firmly presses himself against me. Before we can go any further, he pulls back slowly. Everything inside of me wants to go back for more, but I know better than to get caught up in the moment.
He places one last kiss on my forehead before whispering, "At least consider it..."
I nod my head shyly before making my way to Tia's door. I can feel him watching me as I knock, waiting for her to answer. When the door opens, I turn to see him pulling off into the distance.
"Girl, what are you looking at? How did you get here?"
Walking inside, I reply,"My car is done for, so the mechanic dropped me off."
She looked at me suspiciously, "Oh, okay. The boys are in the kitchen, do you want me to drop y'all off at home?"
"Nah, we can stay here. Plus, I don't think I'd feel particularly safe at home alone. Some stuff happened today that still has me a little shook."
"What?"
"Don't worry about it. I'll tell you when you get back. If you don't leave now, you're gonna be late for your shift."
"Okay, but we're talking as soon as I get back. Lock the doors behind me, and call me if you need anything."
"Alright, be safe and don't work too hard bae!"
She giggles and walks out the door.
Going in the kitchen, I see Nas and Mal eating dinner at the table.
Nasir notices and runs towards me, almost knocking me over.
"Mommy, where you been?"
I kissed his forehead, "My car broke down, so I had to get a ride here. Why? You missed me?"
