Hey loves,

One more week before finals and I'm cramming my ass off. So, soon I PROMISE we'll be back on schedule. I need to know if there are any flashbacks you'd like to see to explain anything mentioned so far. I have two in mind that I know for a fact that I'm doing, but I want you guys' input. Starting next chapter, I will be putting up a lot more dance videos. Most of them will have Taylor Thomas (or Makia Chantel) as Leila and Dominique Battiste (still looking for a backup) as Tia. Some of the videos will be long, so I'll leave the time to go to under it.

This chapter has not been edited, but I don't like leaving y'all hanging. Thanks for hanging in here with me!

Leila

I hug my nieces tightly before letting them go.

"It was so good seeing you two. I'll see you guys soon, okay?"

They both nod cheerfully before heading inside the house. While I walk over to the car, I hear my name being called...

"Leila!"

I see Gigi jogging outside after me.

Inhale and exhale. Think kind thoughts. You promised you'd try.

I turn slowly and wait for her to catch up. Once she does, she takes a second to catch her breath.

"What's up?"

She grins, "Listen, I know what I said back there and I'll admit what I said may have been a bit harsh."

I nod, "Okay."

"But-"

She's about to ruin it Jesus...

"But what?"

"Well, that doesn't mean what I said isn't true."

I take a deep breath, "Regardless of whether you thought it was true or not, it shouldn't have been said. My family is my business."

"Even so, technically they're my family too."

"Barely, last time I checked aunt's don't call their nephews "bastard kids". At least that's how it was relayed to me. However, I'm bigger than to stoop and slander your child the way you have mine."

She chuckles, "Well, I mean, they are. You have them all the time, Cedric wasn't here or even mentioned tonight. What's up with that? Did he find a replacement so soon; someone on his level?"

Walk away...

I turn around and continue to the car.

I hear her holler, "Face it, baby girl, you're just the same old Leila. Always letting people walk all over you."
