Katie heard the banging and spun back around to see a man wearing an ancient set of armour covered in hydraulics and electronics. The sword was monstrously huge while the shield was comically small beside it. The man had a look on his face that said he knew her, but she had no idea who he was. He was incredibly handsome, even with the eye patch.

The sound of gunfire was now all around. Her two squads were deep in firefights, pulled back in three sixty formation. They'd lost the element of surprise and camouflage and now were relying on skill and discipline.

The new troops they fought against wore black uniforms with silver lightning bolts on bowl shaped helmets. The moved and fired with no fear, even as those around them went down. The problem was there were a lot more of them, then commandoes.

"Kita!" The man yelled at her.

"He must think you're Kita," Tina laughed next to her. She still hadn't turned visible. Instead, she was waiting for the command tent to empty so she could slip in.

Katie looked at the man and smiled.

"You know, there are a lot of fallen angels in the world buddy. Granted I cannot tell one ugly tin can son of a bitch from the other, so don't feel bad."

The man yelled something that didn't make a lot of sense. She could only make several words "bitch" was the sweetest among them. Without warning he streaked toward her, slamming into her, sending her backward. Katie didn't get a chance to look up when the giant sword came down on her leg. Only her bone stopped the sword from severing her leg. The man moved almost as fast as she and Kita did. Katie didn't scream as the sword was driven through her middle. Instead, she started issuing orders to her men and her shuttle. Only then did she scream over her comm link for Kita.

Tina was surprised at Jeffrey's speed. She didn't have time to react to save Katie. The grin on Jeffrey's face was twisted and giddy. She'd seen Kita in similar situations and her face never looked so disturbed, and she knew her sister enjoyed it. Jeffrey got some other weird glee out of it.

"Hello, Jeffrey." Tina held her crossbow up to Jeffrey's face.

Jeffrey slowly turned to see the white angel materialize next to him. He looked at puzzled.

"You don't recognize your own baby sister? Has it been so long? Or have I changed that much?"

"Tina...?" Jeffrey asked the giddiness from his face draining away.

"Take the sword out of Katie or you're going to have a new hole to think out of."

Jeffrey chuckled.

"You're a lot of things Tina, but not a killer."

"That's true. I'm a healer..."

Without warning Tina grabbed the side of his face. Jeffrey screamed in agony and tried to jerk away. Tina let go as Jeffrey twisted away, taking his sword with him. Shoving him hard, she jumped on top of Katie and put up her protective bubble.
