EVIE'S POV
The drive went smoother than I thought. I didn't speed, I didn't skid, I kept both hands on the wheel and I didn't brake too hard. I only messed with the system when there was a traffic light only to annoy him.
Overall I think my driving was exceptional.
I managed to park very straight in the driveway only wincing when I'm pretty sure I knocked down a flower pot. Damn.
"What was that?" I could here the nervousness in his voice.
"Nothing, just your neighbours gardening" I lied, blind and deaf Mason seemed to be my favorite version of him.
I must of convinced him well enough because he left the car. I grinned.
I left the car wincing as I noticed a slight dent and scratch at the front of the car. I just had to bump into a metal pot. I quickly grabbed the pot and put back in its place just barely glancing at Mason in time to see him wave at the nonexistent neighbours gardening.
I had to really suppress my laugher so I wouldnt give anything away. Settling with silent laugher I walked up to the front door, opening it with his set of keys and followed him in.
He slumped onto the nearest couch holding his head in his hands.
"Someone just needs to cut my head off"
"Which knife should I use?" I cut in.
He opened one eye glaring at me before laying back down.
"Not funny"
"I thought I was" I muttered heading into the kitchen.
I grabbed a glass of water for the current disable on the couch and grabbed a lollipop from the cabinet for myself.
"Here is your water, now please refrain from calling out to me. I'm going to go clean up the disaster that is your brother's room" I declared, placing the cup of water on the side table and turning around.
"Goodluck, I heard last year he lost a pet spider in there. He never quite got the exterminator to come" he warned, chuckling to himself.
I froze in my tracks, turning around to him wide eyed.
"Your telling me, you've let me sleep in that room for two nights now when there was a spider and all of its babies crawling around with the potential to EAT ME?!" I screamed out the last part horrified.
I took pride in seeing him flinch from the loudness of my voice. I stalked up to him just about to punch his side when the sound of crunching metal caught my attention. Pausing mid-slap I let my hand fall and walked towards the source of sound.
Peeking through the window I narrowed my eyes at the sight of multiple guys in neon yellow shirts rummaging through the mess of my house. What were they doing?
"That's probably the clean-up and construction guys. Your parents were discussing this this morning after you dissappeared" I heard him fill me in from behind.
"Probably not the best time for this migraine to appear" he grumbled out the noise obviously affecting him. I rolled my eyes leaving the window behind.
Well then what was I going to do? There was definitely no way I was going back to Heath's room. No way.
"I'm bored"
"Go to school"
"You go to school"
"But I'm not bored"
"Because your an idiot"
"Your the idiot"
I closed my mouth before I let another retort slip. This conversation was going no where. I huffed out before falling down onto the next couch.
I looked around the living room before noticing the TV remote beside me. I grinned. Perfect distraction. I turned on the TV making sure the volume was low enough to not stir up the incompetent on the couch. I skipped through the shows, and I have to admit I always show surf. That was until I found my upmost favourite show of the year. I squealed a little before chucking the remote out of my hands and putting my whole attention onto the screen like a small toddler.
Time for some Walking Dead.
